Not everything dangerous looks dangerous at first. A bridge can appear solid while corrosion spreads beneath the surface. The same is true in our spiritual lives. In the book of Jude, we are warned that false teaching can enter quietly while still destroying completely.

This week we walked through Jude 5-16 and were reminded that unbelief has consequences, that spiritual claims must always be tested by Scripture, and that a tree is known by its fruit. God's boundaries are not barriers to life -- they are guardrails for life. And the teachers who promise the most are not always the ones producing what they promise.

But here is the hope: final judgment belongs to Christ, not to us. We can practice discernment without fear or vengeance because the one who sees every motive and knows every heart will one day make all things right. Our call is simply to be faithful -- to know Scripture, to look for fruit, and above all else, to keep our eyes on Jesus.

What does it mean to truly stand for the gospel? This week we began a three-week journey through the book of Jude, a 25-verse letter with an urgent message that is just as relevant today as when it was written.

Jude reminds us of something we need to hear before we do anything else: you are called, loved, and kept by God. Your security does not depend on winning arguments or proving yourself right. You contend for the faith from a place of being already loved by the Father.

The gospel is not ours to edit. It was delivered once for all to God's people, and our calling is to receive it, live it, and pass it on faithfully to the next generation. As Jude warns, the greatest threats to the church are not outside forces but distorted grace and a Christianity that refuses the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Join us as we continue through Jude and learn how to stand firmly for truth without losing love.

We all have someone in our life who has wandered. A friend. A son or daughter. Someone who used to sit beside us in church. James 5:19-20 reminds us that mature faith does not just ask "am I going to make it?" -- it asks "who can I help bring with me?"

Prayer is not primarily about getting God to execute our plan. It is about bringing our lives into alignment with his. And sometimes, God answers our prayers by calling us to act -- to make the call, send the text, or have the uncomfortable conversation.

You have not wandered beyond the reach of grace. The shepherd is still looking. The father is still watching the road. And James leaves us with one final charge: go get them.

Join us as we close out our series in the book of James and prepare to begin a new series in the book of Jude next Sunday.
