This Sunday we look at the story of two powerful women from the Hebrew Bible – Deborah and Jael – in Judges chapters 4 and 5. In a time of uncertainty for the people of Israel, Deborah rises as a judge and prophet, speaking with wisdom and authority in the public square. Her leadership reminds us that spiritual clarity and courage have always guided communities through challenging times.

Alongside Deborah’s story, we encounter Jael, a woman whose bold and decisive action unfolds in the quiet space of her tent. Her story reminds us that power does not always come with a title. Sometimes it emerges through Spirit-inspired action in the most ordinary places. Together, these two women reveal how wisdom, authority, and courageous action can move through every space of life.

This Sunday we look at Deborah and Jael: women who moved with wisdom, authority, and courageous action.

Their stories remind us that Spirit-inspired power can rise in both public leadership and ordinary spaces.

On this past All Music Sunday, Ron Masters treated us to his rendition of this inspiring song from an unlikely source: The Hannah-Montana Movie. Thank you, Ron, for sharing your talent with us!

On this All Music Sunday, our music director shared with us a song she wrote in inspiration of seeing The Peace Line walls in Belfast, Ireland which separate predominantly Catholic and Protestant areas of the country. Phyllis reminds us that all we need is a little bit of common ground, rather than separation!

In this week's prayer, Rev. Minnassa gives thanks for the countless women whose courage, wisdom, and perseverance have shaped our world.
"We are thankful for mothers, grandmothers, teachers healers, the organizers, the visionaries, the trouble-makers. Women whose strength has carried generations forward."
