Proverbs 21 - RSV

2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
but the Lord weighs the heart.

3 To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

Whose truth will win out today in your life? That which makes you productive as the world sees it, or that which makes you productive only through the lenses of the Lord’s definitions of righteousness and justice?

Martha W Pitts passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Martha cherished family time together. She married William (Bill) Pitts on August 26, 1950. They had four children: Jack(Patty) Karen, Nancy(Dave), and Doug(Jean); ten grandchildren: Nicolas(Jennifer), Christopher, Matthew, Laura, Renee, Andrew(Kelly), Allison (Ameya), Sarah(Colin), Christian, and Jennie(Lindsey); and six great-grandchildren: Nora, James, Ravi, Cady, Colin, and Alivia. Her husband and her sister, Anna Jane Schwulst preceded her in death.
Martha attended Illinois Wesleyan and the University of Illinois. She was a member of St Matthew’s Episcopal Church, serving on the vestry and altar guild. Martha enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, antiquing, and traveling (especially to Michigan and Florida).
We remember our Mom whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of everyone who knew her. A lifetime of special memories and good times will always be a part of her.
