Another encouraging update on Ian.

Yesterday was a good day.

Ian’s neurologist restarted his drain and removed another 100 mL of fluid from his brain. The difference was noticeable. Ian had a much clearer day with better cognition, connection, and awareness.

His right eye is now staying open for much of the day and has made it to about the halfway mark. His hands are also making more intentional connections with the objects he’s holding. He’s transferring things from one hand to the other, figuring out what to do with what’s placed in his hands, and even tried several times to throw a stress ball with his right hand.

Ian knew his name and birthday. He knew Danielle’s name and the kids’ names, and he accurately answered several questions. And maybe just as encouraging, Danielle is seeing more and more glimpses of Ian’s personality through the eye rolls, smirks, eyebrow raises, and even kisses on her hand. ❤️

Consistency is still a challenge, and they’ve learned through the drain that the fluid buildup is significantly affecting Ian’s abilities. When that fluid is removed, they are able to see more of him.

There is still a long road ahead, so please continue praying for Ian, Danielle, their kids, and the medical team caring for him. Pray specifically for wisdom concerning the fluid buildup and the next steps in his treatment, and for continued healing and restoration in Ian’s brain and body.

For someone who was not expected to make it through this, we continue to thank God for every step forward.

Every connection.
Every movement.
Every smirk.
Every kiss.

We are grateful for each reminder that Ian is still fighting, and we continue to trust that God is still writing his story.

Keep praying, Gateway.

Okay, technically “next month” was correct… but what Sam meant was THIS SUNDAY. 😂

This Sunday, we’re kicking off our new series, ONE MORE.

There’s always room for one more.

One more person.
One more family.
One more story changed by the hope of Jesus.

And chances are, you already know your one more. Someone probably came to mind while you watched this.

So here’s the challenge: invite them.

If we run out of room, we’ll figure it out. We’ll make room. Because there will always be room for ONE MORE.

See you Sunday at 9:15 or 11:00!

“I had kind of felt like I could do it on my own.”

Addiction. A marriage on the rocks. A family needing a fresh start.

Then God began to use a new church, serving, small groups, and relationships with other believers to change the direction of a family.

This is their story.

Sometimes saying “yes” can change more than you ever imagined.

Update on Pastor Ian:

We want to continue covering Pastor Ian, Danielle, and their family in prayer today.

Ian just went back for a CT scan. The results will help his medical team determine whether more fluid needs to be drained from his brain or whether they are ready to begin a clamping trial.

If they are able to begin the clamping trial, the drain will be clamped and then they will enter a waiting period of a few days to see how Ian responds without additional fluid being drained. Because of that, there may not be much of an update for a few days as they wait, watch, and determine what comes next.

Danielle specifically asked for prayer for wisdom and discernment for both her and Ian’s neurologist as they make these decisions.

Gateway family, let’s continue to stand with the O’Boyles. Pray for wisdom for the doctors, peace and strength for Danielle and the family, and continued healing for Ian.

We have seen God’s faithfulness throughout this journey, and we continue to trust Him in this next step.

“For nothing will be impossible with God.” — Luke 1:37

We are so thankful for our Gateway Kidz team!

Behind every Sunday is a team of volunteers who are intentionally investing in the next generation and partnering with families to help kids know and follow Jesus.

Each quarter, our Gateway Kidz team comes together to celebrate what God is doing, spend time together, and continue learning and growing as leaders. We’re incredibly thankful for the preparation, prayer, and care this team puts into creating an environment where kids are known, loved, and encouraged to grow in their faith.

We believe discipling the next generation is one of the greatest opportunities God has given us as a church, and we’re grateful for every volunteer who chooses to be a part of it.

Thank you, Gateway Kidz team, for loving our kids and partnering with families so well!

Fantasy Football Fellowship is officially drafted! 🏈

Fantasy football might be what brings these guys together, but the goal is bigger than football.

Fantasy Football Fellowship is about creating a place for guys to build relationships, talk about life and faith, and experience real community. Throughout the season, these guys won’t just compete against each other each week, they’ll also continue meeting together and doing life together.

And now that the draft is complete, we need some outside opinions…

Swipe over, check out the draft board, and tell us in the comments: Who had the best draft? 👀

And yes, we fully expect some biased answers from the guys pictured. 😂

What a Celebration Sunday!

Yesterday was such a special reminder of what God is doing in the life of our church.

We celebrated people taking their next step through baptism. We stood alongside families as they dedicated their children to the Lord. We worshiped together, celebrated stories of life change, and were reminded that God is continuing to move in and through Gateway.

These aren’t just moments on a Sunday. They represent people, families, stories, and lives being changed by Jesus.

We’re incredibly thankful for every person who calls Gateway home and for every volunteer who helps make Sundays like this possible.

There is so much to celebrate, and we believe the best is still ahead.

We Get to Do This.

There’s always room for ONE MORE.

One more person.
One more family.
One more story changed by the hope of Jesus.

Because behind every “one more” is a person who matters to God.

This Sunday, we’re beginning a brand-new series called ONE MORE, and we’d love for you to be here.
