Ha sido un los días bien cansados y ocupados, pero aquí hay un pequeño resumen de estos días:

Sábado:
- Carlitos y Ariana estuvieron llenando la última carga de basura para llevar al dompe
- Louie, Abe, y Tata limpiaron la yarda de la mamá de la misionera
- Carlos y Otto le arreglaron un stand de aire a su mamá también
- Ángel y Jason fueron a dejar el metal
- Demolision
- Estudió Bíblico con la mamá
- Cena de alce
- Jugamos “Capture the flag”
- Tomamos malteadas en Sonic
- Terminamos la cocina

Domingo:
- Servicio (cantar alabanzas, dimos testimonios, Carlos predico)
- Almorzamos y jugamos Monopoly
- Visitamos las Ruinas Salmon
- Visitamos al papá de la misionera
- Limpiamos nuestra traila
- Despedimos

Lunes:
- Salimos a las 4 de la mañana
- Visitamos al Gran Canyon

These past few days have been very tiring and busy, but here is a short summary of the past few days:

Saturday
- Carlitos & Ariana loafing trash
- Louie, Abe, Tata clean grandma yard

- church service (sang sings, gave testimonies, papi Carlos preached)
- Had lunch, played monopoly
- Went to salmon ruins
- Visited papa
- Ate lotaburgers

- Goodbyes and debriefing

Monday:
- Left at 4am
- Visited the Grand Canyon

Quinto día (Viernes): más trabajo, ruinas, y abuelito
Ahora si dormimos bien rico, pero el cansancio nos está alcanzando. Pero lo bueno es que fue un día más corto, para que tuviéramos una oportunidad de aprender y explorar. Después del desayuno, a seguir echándole ganas.
- Jason, Carlos, y Carlitos se fueron al dompe a llevar un carga de basura que se ha colectado de todos los edificios y nuestros proyectos.
- Otto, Ariana, y Abe colectaron metal chatarra de toda la misión para seguir con la limpieza y recuperar un poco de dinero.
- Angel, Louie, y Tata terminaron de limpiar la yarda y arreglaron la falda de la traila en donde nos estamos quedando. Esta traila servirá para hospedar todo los equipos que vendrán.
- Lilly siguió como la cocinera (por lo cual estamos muy agradecidos!!). Incluso, sirvió de fotógrafa y llevar comida a la mamá de la misionera.
Cuando llegaron Carlos, Jason, y Carlitos nos pusimos todos a llenar la trailita de todo el metal chatarra y a comer!
Algunos nos bañamos y nos arreglamos....nos dio un sueño increíble, pero nos fuimos a las ruinas.
Estás se llaman las ruinas Aztecas, pero no son de los indígenas Aztecas. Se puso este nombre por que cuando los españoles estuvieron por Mexico, vinieron al área de Nuevo México y como no conocían otro tipo de indígenas, les pusieron Aztecas. Todos se emocionaron y agarraron fuerzas de nuevo al explorar un lugar así.
Después de esto, fuimos todo el equipo a visitar el papá de la misionera en el asilo. Estuvo en cama dormido, pero le cantamos su canción favorita; Mañana Gloriosa en español. Aunque no despertó, si estuvo moviendo los pies al ritmo de la música.
Ya en este punto del día estábamos exhaustos, así es que regresamos a cenar y a tener un tiempo como equipo. Estamos cansados pero conforme van pasando los días somos bendecidos más y más.

Fifth day (Friday): more work, ruins, and grandpa
Now we slept great, but the exhaustion is starting to catch up. The good thing is that it was a shorter work day. This way, we could have an opportunity to learn and explore. After breakfast, we kept pushing forward.
- Jason, Carlos, and Carlitos went to the dump to take some trash that was collected from the buildings and the different projects.
- Otro, Ariana, and Abe collected scrap metal from all over the mission to keep cleaning and to recover a little bit of money.
- Angel, Louie, and Tata finished cleaning the yard and fixed the skirt of the trailer we have been staying in. This trailer will continue to serve housing incoming teams.
- Lilly continued as the cook (for which we are very grateful!!) she also served as the photographer and taking food to the missionaries mom.
When Carlos, Jason, and Carlitos got back, we all worked together to load up the small trailer with the scrap metal and then lunch!
Some of us took a shower and got ready.....we got incredibly sleepy, but went to the ruins. These were called the Aztec ruins, although they weren’t from the Aztec people. This name was given because when the Spanish were exploring Mexico and passed through New Mexico, they didn’t know of any other indigenous and named them Aztecs as well. Everyone was excited and even regained strength from exploring a place like this.
After this, the whole team went to visit the missionaries dad in the senior home. He was in bed asleep, but we sang his favorite song; glorious mañana in Spanish. Although he didn’t wake up, he did move his feet to the rhythm of the music.
At this point in the day, we were exhausted. So we came back to have dinner and have some team time. We are tired but as the days go by we are blessed more and more

El cuarto día (Jueves): a trabajar duro
Fue un día bastante ocupado, terminando trabajos de ayer y comenzando proyectos nuevos. Desafortunadamente, el clima ha estado variado. Anoche bajo hasta 25 grados (F). Casi no dormimos y Carlitos hasta se quito la cobija para ponérsela en Ángel. Así es que tratamos de llevar el día tranquilo, pero todos han estado muy apasionados para hacer lo más que se pueda.
(1) Tata, Louie, y Angel tuvieron la tarea de pintar el cuarto en donde se arman las cajas para la despensa.
(2) Carlitos, Jason, y Abe tumbaron el techo del almacén de herramientas. A estos muchachos les encanta destruir 😜
(3) Otto y Carlos siguieron con el proyecto de ayer de limpiar y vaciar el granero y les quedó hermoso.
(4) Lilly y Ariana siguieron cocinando comidas todos los días. En la tarde llevaron a la mamá de la misionera a visitar a su esposo. Ángel nos acompañó y pudo entrar con ella al asilo de ancianos. Fue conmovido al ver tanto ancianito hablando solo, temblando, y solo 2 enfermeras en toda la unidad.
Cuando llegamos de regreso a la misión ya fue tiempo para cenar. Mientras que se terminaba de preparar y servir la comida, los muchachos se pusieron a jugar Monopoly. Mientras, Carlos y Lilly fueron a la casa de la mamá para llevarle cena. Ahí les contó todo su testimonio y cómo Dios ha sido fiel por la fe que han tenido.
Tuvimos un tiempo como equipo en donde nos compartieron ese testimonio, cantamos, estudiamos el libro de Galatas, y compañerismo.

The fourth day (Jueves): working hard
It was a pretty busy day, finishing projects from yesterday and starting new ones. Unfortunately, the weather has been varied. Last night it got down to 25 degrees (F). No one really got good sleep and Carlitos even took off his blanket to put it on Angel. So we tried to pace our day, but the team was so passionate to finish as much as we can.
(1) Tata, Angel, and Louie had the task of painting the food pantry room.
(2) Carlitos, Jason, and Abe knocked down the roof of a tool shed. These guys love to destroy 😜
(3) Otto and Carlos continued with the project of cleaning out and emptying out the barn. It looks beautiful.
(4) Lilly and Ariana continued cooking meals everyday. In the afternoon, they went to take the missionary’s mom to visit her husband. Angel joined us and was able to go into the senior home. He was moved to see all of the elderly talking to themselves, shaking, and only 2 nurses in the entire facility.
When we came back to the mission, it was time for dinner. As we finished preparing and serving the food, the guys spent the time playing a game of Monopoly. Meanwhile, Carlos and Lilly went to mama’s house to take her dinner. There, she told them her testimony and how God has been faithful for the faith they’ve had. We had some team time where they told us this testimony, sang, studied the book of Galatians, and had fellowship.

Tercer día (Miércoles): un poco de trabajo un poco de diversión.
Ángel amaneció mucho mejor y listo para conquistar el día. Después de un desayuno riquísimo, todos se fueron a sus tareas diferentes. De nuevo se distribuyó el trabajo en la misión.
(1) Carlitos, Louie, Abe, y Ariana tomaron un tiempo para juntar todas la hojas de la yarda. También los muchachos se pusieron a podar los árboles.
(2) Jason y Angel ayudaron a la misionera a armar cajas de despensa para repartirlas después del servicio.
(3) Otto y Carlos tuvieron el trabajo de vaciar y limpiar el granero para que los caballos pudieran tener un lugar en donde protegerse del frío. El invierno pasado, uno de los caballos se congeló y se murió.
(4) Tata se paso toda la mañana con los caballos.
Después de un rato de descanso y almuerzo, nos fuimos rumbo a la reserva. Antes de llegar a la iglesia tuvimos la oportunidad de ir a los “Badlands”. Es un lugar en el desierto en que no crece nada. Los Navajo creen esto por que es el lugar en donde los espíritus malos van y es considerado un lugar maldecido a donde no puedes ir; también saldrás maldecido.
También pudimos visitar el pozo de agua calentada por un volcán y una mina de carbon que usan para calentar sus hogares.
Nuestro día termino con el servicio en la Iglesia de la Reserva. Resultó que hubo un cambio de planes. Los pastores de esa iglesia han estado pasando por muchas pruebas y quisieron que cada uno de nosotros diéramos testimonio y una palabra de ánimo. Así es que de eso consistió el servicio; alabanza en Navajo, Inglés, y Español y nuestros testimonios. Lo hermoso es que nadie está preocupado por la hora y no hay prisa.
Hubo un frío!!! Los muchachos se apuraron a repartir las cajas de la despensa para irnes de regreso, y en eso que empieza a nevar! ❄️ ❄️ ❄️

Third day (Wednesday): a little bit of work a little bit of fun.
Angel woke up much better and ready to conquer the day. After a delicious breakfast, everyone went on to their assigned tasks. Again, the work was distributors amongst the team.
(1) Carlitos, Louie, Abe and Ariana took some time to gather all of the leaves from the yard. The guys also trimmed down the trees.
(2)Jason and Angel helped the missionary put together food boxes for the food pantry after the service.
(3) Otto and Carlos has the job of emptying out and cleaning the barn so that the horses could have protection from the cold. This last winter a horse froze to death.
(4) Tata spent the whole morning with the horses.
After some time of rest and lunch, we headed out to the reservation.
Before arriving to the church, we had the opportunity of going to the “Badlands”. It’s a place in the desert in which nothing grows. The Navajo believe that this is because this is where bad spirits come and considered a cursed place where you cannot go or else you will be cursed as well.
We were also able to visit the water well heated by a volcano and a coal mine where they use the coal to heat their homes.
Our day finished with a service in the church on the Rez. Turns out there was a change in plans. The pastors of that church had been experiencing many trials and wanted each of us to give a short testimony and an encouraging word. So that is what the service consisted of; worship in Navajo, Spanish, and English and our testimonies. The beautiful thing is that no one is worried about the time and there’s no rush.
It was so cold!!! The guys hurried to hand out the food pantry boxes so that we can get going, and on our drive it started to snow! ❄️ ❄️ ❄️

Nuestro segundo día (Martes) fue algo interesante y lleno de adrenalina.
Nos separamos en 3 grupos.
(1) Jason, Angel, Louie, and Carlos Chaman fueron con la misionera a la reserva a recoger congeladores.
(2) Otto, Carlos Torres, y Abe se quedaron en la misión a vaciar una vivienda que va a ser demolida, y hasta se adelantaron con ese proceso.
(3) Lilly, Ariana, y Tata - Simey también se quedaron en la misión para hacer otras tareas. Las cuales incluyeron comprar mandado, abastecer la cocina, restaurar el piso del baño, llevar a la mamá de la misionera a ver a su esposo que está en un asilo. Ahí Tata pudo cantarle a este siervo de Dios (el fundador de este ministerio) y compartir el evangelio.
Otras tareas que se cumplieron ayer fueron ir a recoger la despensa que se estará dando el Miércoles y atender a los caballos. Tata se puso la meta de domar a dos caballos salvajes.
Al final final del día fue cuando comenzó lo interesante. Durante todo el día, Ángel estuvo teniendo problemas para respirar. Estuvo luchando periódicamente con su respiración. Al final del día el enemigo decidió atacar con más fuerza. Nos íbamos a reunir a tener un tiempo de adoración y devociónal. Al reunirnos nos dimos cuenta que por ningún lado encontrábamos a Tata. Todos asustados a buscarlo. Resultó que venimos a encontrarlo en el corral con los caballos en completa oscuridad.
Después de eso, nos enteramos de que Ángel se había puesto peor y decidimos continuar con el devocional mientras que algunos de nosotros fuimos al hospital con el. El resto del equipo de quedó orando para que el señor nos diera la victoria...y gracias a Dios todo salió bien 🙏🏼😇☝🏼 a Dios sea la Gloria.

Peticiones:
- Que la dinámica del equipo siga fuerte.
- Que nuestro salud no decaiga

Our second day was something interesting and full of adrenaline.
We separated into 3 groups.
(1) Jason, Angel, Louie, and Carlos Chaman went with the missionary to the reservation to pick up freezers.
(2) Otto, Carlos Torres, and Abe stayed on the mission to empty out a house that was to be demolished, and decided to get a head start on that process.
(3) Lilly, Ariana, and Tata also stayed on the mission to complete other tasks. These included buying groceries, stock the kitchen, restore the bathroom floor, take the missionaries’ mom to visit her husband in a nursing home. There, Tata was able to sing to this man of God (the founder of this ministry) and share the gospel.
Other tasks that were completed yesterday included picking up food pantry food that would be distributed on Wednesday and tending to the horses. Tata made it a point to tame the wild horses.
At the end of the day is when it started getting interesting. All day Angel had been having problems breathing and it being on and off. At the very end of the day, the enemy decided to attack with even more strength. We were coming together to have a time of worship and devotional when we realized Tata was nowhere to be found. We got worried and began looking for him only to find that he was in the corral with the horses in complete darkness.
After that, we came to find that Angel had gotten worse and decided to continue with the devotional while a few of us took him to the hospital. The rest of the team stayed behind in prayer so that God would give us the victory.....and thank God everything turned out alright. 🙏🏼😇☝🏼Glory to God

Nuestro primer día fue un éxito! Salimos a las 4:15 de la mañana y viajamos por 12 horas 😴😵. A pesar de que estábamos cansados, el paisaje estuvo hermoso y hasta adoramos un rato.
Llegamos a las 5 de la tarde acá y los misioneros nos recibieron con abrazos y gozo diciendo “estamos tan contentos de que estén aquí!!!”
Después de descargar todo nuestro equipaje, disfrutamos un spaghetti delicioso que nos prepararon, convivimos, y nos dieron nuestras tareas para el día de mañana. Estaremos trayendo varias cosas de la reserva hacia la cuidad y limpiando/vaciando algunos edificios. Todo esto será para apoyar la misión que está en la cuidad que se encuentra en el borde de la reserva.
Esta misión está en un terreno de 23 acres! Nos estuvieron enseñando en donde están nuestros proyectos y todo lo que Dios les ha proveído.
Fue una tarde muy relajada con caballos antes de comenzar nuestro trabajo mañana. Al final de nuestro día Carlos Chaman dio un estudio sobre el servicio que le damos a Dios y de que El demuestra su fidelidad hacia nosotros. Parecerse que les gusto por que el Miércoles Lilly Luevano Chaman y Carlos van a predicar.

Peticiones:
- Que Dios de la palabra perfecta para cómprate con los Navajo e Miércoles.
- Que podamos ser de bendición y ser bendecidos
- Que tengamos las fuerzas y el amino toda esta semana

Our first day was a success! We left at 4:15 in the morning and traveled for 12 hours 😴😵. Although we were tired, we were able to enjoy a beautiful scenery and we even worshipped for a while.
We arrived here at 5 in the evening and the missionaries received us with hugs and joy, saying “we’re saying happy you’re here!!!”
After unloading the van, we enjoyed some delicious spaghetti that was prepared for us, we had fellowship, and were given our tasks for tomorrow. We will be bringing several things from the reservation to the city and cleaning/emptying some buildings. All of this is to support the mission here in the city that is found on the border of the Navajo Reservation.
This mission is on 23 acres of land! We were shown where all of our projects would be and all that God has provided.
It was a very relaxing evening with horses before we begin our work tomorrow. At the end of our day, Carlos Chaman have a study on the service we give to God and how He shows his faithfulness to us. It looks like they liked it because on Wednesday Lilly And him will be preaching on Wednesday.

Prayer Requests:
- That God provide the perfect message for the Navajo on Wednesday.
- That we can be a blessing and be blessed.
- That we have strength and encouragement throughout the week.
