Lag BaOmer is celebrated as a special day honoring the legacy of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, author of the Zohar, a foundational text in Jewish mysticism.

Do you know of any other Tana whose yahrzeit (day of passing) is celebrated so widely? What makes Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai so special, and what lessons can we draw from this significant day?

See you tomorrow!

Have you ever wondered why Hashem commanded the Jewish nation to empty out Egypt of its gold and silver and to borrow items from the Egyptians that they wouldn't return? Does this seem to align with our Jewish values? Did you know that Alexander the Great, years later, took a complaint from the Egyptians and turned it into a significant issue that was explained by a wise sage, and then Alexander accepted it?

As we discussed all of this, we reflected on our mission on Earth and more.

Lunch and Learn sessions are held every Tuesday at the stud at 12 PM. We usually meet in the lounge, and we are a group of 4 to 15 women, depending on the week. You’re welcome to join us!

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow at 12 PM at the Studio for our Lunch and Learn session! We will delve into this week's Torah portion, Vaera, which is filled with action- 7 of the 10 plagues are happening in this week’s Torah Portion.

We will uncover the deeper underlying messages that Hashem is communicating to the Egyptians through these plagues. As we dive deeper into the topic, we’ll notice that the plagues are grouped together, each carrying a unique message.

Moreover, we’ll reflect on the lessons these plagues impart for the "little Egyptian" that resides within each of us.

See you there!
