In accordance with the Baptist Faith and Message:
• We believe that there is one God, eternally existent as three persons: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• We believe that the entire Bible, the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Holy, inerrant, infallible, plenary Word of God, fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and the only reliable rule of faith and practice for every believer.
• We believe that man was created by and for God; that Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden and separated himself from God, causing every person to incur spiritual death, which is separation from God, and physical death as a consequence; that all people are sinners by nature and by choice.
• We believe that Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh. We believe that He is the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin, and that He paid our sin debt in full by shedding His blood on the Cross, and that three days later, He rose from the dead; victorious over sin and death, and is ascended back to His former glory and is seated at the right hand of the Heavenly Father.
• We believe that if a man recognizes that he is a sinner and cannot earn heaven by merit, believes that Jesus Christ fully paid for his sins by His substitutionary death on the cross, shed blood and resurrection from the dead; and by faith invited Jesus to be his personal Savior and Lord — that man is instantaneously born again into the family of God.
• We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide; empowering every believer for a life of obedience and service.
• We believe that “in the beginning” God created man, and man did not evolve from a lower life form. God created male and female, which are the only God-ordained genders. Gender and biological s*x are equivalent and cannot be separated. A person’s gender is determined at conception (fertilization) and coded in the DNA and cannot be changed.
• Since the beginning God has ordained marriage, consisting of one naturally born man and one naturally born woman committed exclusively to each other for life, as the first institution of society.
• We believe that all shall stand before the judgment seat of Christ: the redeemed to be delivered unto everlasting life, and the unrepentant unto everlasting punishment.
