Everyone had a blast today in Children's Church. Today's lesson was "Letters to Church Leaders." They learned about Paul writing to Timothy and Titus to give them advice and to help all church leaders know how to lead God's people. Church leaders help believers know what is true, and they serve the church by following the example of Jesus, who served us by dying on the cross for our sins. Be sure to ask them what they learned today so they can tell you all about it.

Next week is the week when they need to be able to say the memory verse. If you could take a little time to help them with that, it would be appreciated. This unit's verse is quite lengthy. (Matthew 28:19-20)

I hope everyone has a blessed week. Be on the lookout for posts about the new unit we start next week!!

Hi everyone! This week we are starting on Unit 32 - Making Disciples! This week's lesson is Peter Escaped From Prison.

God answered the people's prayers for Peter. God had a plan for Peter and the church, and He rescued Peter from his enemies. Peter knew he would face death because He believed in Jesus, but he kept going so he could share the good news of the gospel.

Our Bible verse is found in Matthew 28:19-20 --- "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

God bless and see you Sunday!

This week will be our last week of Unit 26 - To The Cross. We will be studying the crucifixion and resurrection. Please make sure that your child works on their memory verse as this will be the week they need to say it from memory. Can't wait to see who earns their reward!!

Hi everyone! We have been very busy in Children's Church. A couple weeks ago we started Unit 26 (To The Cross). We have learned all about Jesus' triumphant return into Jerusalem and Jesus being questioned by the religious leaders. This week we will be talking about The Last Supper. We will be learning what the Last Supper was all about and what it means to us today.

With the new unit we have a new memory verse. Please help your child work on the verse. If they can tell me the verse by heart in 2 more weeks, they will be able to pick a prize from my gift basket. Our verse is Philippians 2:8 - "...he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death - even death on a cross!"

Hi everyone!! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. We have been very busy in Children's Church. Today we are finishing up Unit 25 - The Kingdom to Come. We've spent time learning about parables that Jesus told and exactly what a parable is. We also learned about how people often misunderstood Jesus' words. Today we will be learning about Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead and by doing that He showed He had power over death.

I will be giving the children one more week to memorize our Bible verse: "He has rescued us...and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves." (Colossians 1:13) So please make sure your child(ren) takes some time during this week to work on memorizing the verse.

If you have more than one child and they are different age groups, you may have noticed that they are coming home with different sheets. I have expanded our curriculum so the sheets that each child does is more age-appropriate and challenging.

Hello everyone. Sorry I didn't update after Easter Sunday but I was recuperating from having 16 kids in Children's Church, hehehe. It was a little crazy but we still had a great time. We talked about the betrayal of Jesus by Judas, the crucifixion, and the resurrection. We made an Easter wreath highlighting all of the events of Holy Week ending with the resurrection.

This week we moved back to our regularly scheduled lessons - Jesus the Miracle-Worker. First they reviewed the lesson from 2 weeks ago about Jesus calming the storm. Then they moved on to Jesus feeding the crowd of 5000. We talked about not only the miracle of feeding that many people with only 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes (and had 12 baskets leftover) but that Jesus is our bread of life. Only Jesus is able to satisfy our souls forever by providing forgiveness, peace with God and eternal life.

Please remember to have the children work on their memory verse - Psalm 40:5 --- "Many, LORD my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you."

Happy Palm Sunday!! What a blessed week we have leading up to Easter! Today we talked about what Palm Sunday was......what it meant..and why it was important. We read a story about Jesus' triumphant return to Jerusalem. We also talked a little about Jesus cleansing the temple and the Lord's Supper/Communion. They had fun making their own palm branches. You may have noticed they brought home a big picture about Holy Week. If they are able to work on that this week and bring it next week, that would be fabulous.

We will have Children's Church next week as we will be discussing everything Easter.....the crucifixion and Jesus rising from the dead.

This unit's Bible verse Is Psalm 40:5. They should have brought home a piece of paper last week with the verse on it. If not, the verse is up in the cover picture. I'm shooting for everyone to know this unit's verse by heart since they have 2 extra weeks to memorize it.

Have a fabulous week!!!
