Update on Leonard gollihue posted by his daughter...
Sorry if this post is all over the place but I’ll try to update what we know so far. They’re trying to get the ball rolling on chemo sooner than we expected. He had a full week of outpatient testing this week and a lot of it they’re trying to get done while he’s in here so that’s a plus. He’s already had a ct of brain this morning since no imaging had been done on it yet. He’s getting ready to go for a mri of the hip to see if they can do a hemi hip or total hip done Hopfully tomorrow. They’re also going to try and get the lumbar puncture and mediport done so they can get a low dose of chemo started while he’s in here. If that’s the case then chemo will get going before we expected which is great. They’ve also said that he is probably not a candidate for the open heart surgery that he needs right now but they should be able to place some stents sometime soon and the cabg will be later down the road. So the PET scan will be the only thing that they will not be able to get done while he’s in here.
