1. Who was Pontius Pilate and why was Jesus delivered to him?
2. Did Pilate seem to believe that Jesus was guilty?
3. When Pilot washed his hands, and declared he was innocent of the blood of Jesus, how did the people respond? Why do you think they responded this way?
4. Who was guilty of the blood of Jesus: Judas, Pilot, the high priests and elders or the people?
5. What is scourging or flogging?

6. Can you think of an O.T. prophecy, that was fulfilled by this scourging/flogging of Jesus? Where is this prophecy located?
7. Why was Jesus willing to endure such pain and humiliation?
