K of C Blackstone-Millville St. Andre Bessette Council #15829 St. Andre Bessette Council #15829 From the moment of our founding in 1882, charity has been the first principal of the Knights of Columbus.

We are men of faith and men of action. During 2012, in addition to raising and donating more than $167.5 million to charitable needs and projects, Knights volunteered more than 70 million hours of their time to charitable causes. We undertake these acts of charity because we see those in need through the eyes of faith. Moreover, in the Knights of Columbus, we approach these acts of charity togethe

Our charitable activities encompass an almost infinite variety of local, national and international projects. From international charitable partnerships with Special Olympics, the Global Wheelchair Mission and Habitat for Humanity to our own Food for Families and Coats for Kids projects and other purely local charities, the opportunity to work together with fellow Knights and their families is virtually endless. Our council generally meets on the 3rd Monday of the month at 7pm in the Parish Center. Anyone interested in joining should contact Jeremy Labonte [email protected]

This weekend is our annual Irish Night dinner. Corned Beef & Cabbage and for the kids popcorn chicken, fries and Mac & Cheese. Tickets are $25 for adults, kids 8-12 are $10 and under 8 are free. There will be a live band as well. All proceeds go towards the purchase of an AED for the church.

There are some Christmas Trees left from our sale this past weekend. They remain on sale and are on a self service basis. They are located on the grounds of Divine Mercy Parish. 48 St. Paul St. in Blackstone. All trees are $60 and they are all 6-8 feet tall, there may be one or two 9 foot trees remaining. Open during Parish business hours only. Once you pick out a tree, please bring payment to the rectory. They can not accept cards. Cash only please.
