In October of 2009 God put a dream in the heart of Johnny Mitcham to talk to Rodney Thrift about the possibility of merging his church, Freedom Community Church and Crossway Church. Rodney and Renee’ and Johnny and Wendy prayed about it and sought counsel from their Lead Teams and felt like that God said to move forward with the dream. After much conversation and prayer the decision was made to me

rge the two ministries. On March 28th, 2010 the merge was official and the two churches started doing ministry as one church on two campuses. It took from March until July to complete the merger and move forward as one ministry called Destination Church. On August 8th, 2010 the two churches had their first service all under one roof. It is the desire of Destination to help you build strong relationships with God and others and to become more like Jesus Christ every day. Destination Church is a Bible Believing, life giving, non-denominational body of believers. Our focus is to create pathways for people that are far from God, so that they would come into a growing and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. As people progress through the steps to become a strong Christian, we believe that it is imperative that they continually build creative and ever changing ways to grow and go. It is our desire to have many venues so that people can use their gifts, talents and abilities to minister to others that are far from God.

Yeah, we love to worship on Sunday mornings. But that should just be the start of our weekly worship. Everything we do, when done for God, becomes an act of worship.

One of the most generous things you can do for your friends and family is to introduce them to your Savior.

Why not invite them to join you tomorrow? (Don't forget to tell them which service you'll be at.)

Technical Update: We’d love to say the delay was a deep spiritual exercise in patience, but the truth is we just had to record a day later than normal! Turns out, even our recording schedule is in an "in-between" season this week. 😅 We’re a day late, but as we talk about in this episode: formation matters more than visibility!

In this week's episode of DC Table Talk, Pastor Rodney and Bryan are discussing the power of DEDICATION. If you’re feeling the pressure to "figure it all out" or control every outcome, this conversation is for you.

We’re diving into:
🛡️ Stewardship: Why our kids and our callings belong to God before they belong to us.
🌱 The Hidden Years: Why the seasons where "nothing is happening" are actually when God is doing the most.
🔥 Pentecost Power: Why we need the Holy Spirit to help us lead our families.
✨ The Soul Tattoo: What is dedicated to God in one season can shape generations in another.

Pull up a chair and join us! 👇
