Day 2 devotion from sister Raleeta's Mother's Day message.

The Cost of Raising Godly Seed

Godly children don't happen by accident - they're the result of intentional, costly investment. Just like organic food commands premium prices because it requires more time, effort, and careful attention, raising spiritually healthy children demands everything we have to give. This isn't a drive-through experience where Sunday morning church attendance and Wednesday night programs automatically produce godly offspring. It requires daily prayer, consistent biblical teaching, and modeling holiness in the mundane moments of life. The cost includes sleepless nights spent in prayer, difficult conversations about truth in a culture of lies, and the sacrifice of personal comfort for their spiritual development. You might miss social events to be present for teachable moments. You might invest in Christian education or homeschooling when it stretches your budget. But remember - what seems costly now is actually an investment in eternity. The harvest you're working toward isn't just for this generation, but for generations yet to come.

Bible Verse
'By faith Moses' parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king's edict.' - Hebrews 11:23

Reflection Question
What specific sacrifices are you willing to make today to ensure your children develop a strong spiritual foundation?

Quote
"Godly seed are going to cost you. They won't come with a drive through type encounter on Sunday morning and Wednesday night."

Prayer
Father, give me strength to pay the cost of raising godly children. Help me see the eternal value in every sacrifice I make for their spiritual development.

This week's devotion is from sister Raleeta's Mother's Day message.

Day 1: The Sacred Assignment of Motherhood

Every mother has been given a sacred assignment that extends far beyond daily care and nurturing. Like the wise Southern farmers who saved their best potatoes for next year's planting rather than consuming everything at harvest, we must view our children as precious seed to be protected and cultivated for future generations. This isn't just about raising good kids - it's about stewarding souls that will impact eternity. Your role as a mother carries profound spiritual responsibility. You're not just feeding bodies and minds; you're nurturing spirits that will either advance God's kingdom or be lost to the enemy's schemes. This assignment requires intentionality, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment. The world may tell you that casual parenting is enough, but God has called you to something much greater. Your children are not accidents or burdens - they are divine appointments placed in your care for such a time as this.

Bible Verse
'And why does the Lord want godly children from your union? It is because He seeks godly offspring. So guard your heart; remain loyal to the wife of your youth.' - Malachi 2:15

Reflection Question
How does viewing your children as 'seed for future generations' change the way you approach daily parenting decisions?

Quote
"She knew it couldn't stop with her and she was called to protect her seed."

Prayer
Lord, help me see my children through Your eyes as precious seed entrusted to my care. Give me wisdom to nurture them not just for today, but for the generations that will follow.

Day 5 devotion from Pastor Andy's May 3 message.

He's Not Your Co-Pilot

There's a popular saying that "God is my co-pilot," but that's actually backwards. God isn't sitting beside you offering suggestions while you drive your life. He's the Lord - which means He calls the shots, determines the route, and directs the path. This requires a fundamental shift in how we approach life. Instead of asking God to bless our plans, we need to ask what His plans are and align ourselves accordingly. This level of surrender can feel scary because it means giving up control. But here's the beautiful truth: the One asking for control loves you perfectly and has plans that are far better than anything you could imagine. When we truly make Him Lord of our lives, we discover that His leadership brings peace, purpose, and fulfillment that our own efforts never could. The question isn't whether you'll follow someone or something - we all do. The question is whether you'll follow the One who created you and knows exactly where you need to go.

Bible Verse
'Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.' - Proverbs 3:5-6

Reflection Question
In what areas of your life are you still trying to be the driver instead of letting God be Lord?

Quote
"God's not your co pilot. He's not sitting beside me or you. And He's not just sitting there offering suggestions. I'll tell you who He is. He's the Lord."

Prayer
God, I surrender control of my life to You completely. Help me trust Your leadership even when I can't see where You're taking me.
