Day 5 devotion from Pastor Andy's July 26 message.

God Is Never Late

There are moments when it feels like God has forgotten about you. The situation has gone on too long. The prayer has gone unanswered too many times. And somewhere deep down, a quiet fear whispers: maybe this time, He is not coming.

But consider Lazarus. By the time Jesus arrived, Lazarus had been in the tomb for four days. It was past the point of hope by any human measure. And yet Jesus was not panicked. He was not apologizing. He was right on time.

God does His best work in the worst seasons. He does His greatest work when you are worrying the most. That is not a coincidence. That is His character.

You may not know when your breakthrough is coming. But you know who holds the timeline. And that is enough. You do not need a date on the calendar. You need a settled confidence in the God who has never once been late.

So lay it down. Lay down the bitterness, the fear, the exhaustion, and the need to control the outcome. Come to the altar. Surrender it fully. Because when God’s people stop striving and start trusting, the fire falls. And when the fire falls, nothing stays the same.

Bible Verse
'Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift My Father promised, which you have heard Me speak about.' - Acts 1:4

Reflection Question
What situation in your life are you struggling to trust God with because it feels like He has taken too long?

Quote
"God does His best work in the worst seasons."

Prayer
Father, I choose to trust Your timing even when I do not understand it. Help me lay down my worry and rest in the confidence that You are never late. Amen.

Day 4 devotion from Pastor Andy's July 26 message.

You Were Never Meant to Do This Alone

One of the most freeing realizations in the Christian life is this: you were never supposed to carry it all by yourself.

The early church did not spread across the known world because they had the best strategy or the most talented people. They moved because they were filled with a power that was not their own. Dunamis. Dynamite power. The kind that does not come from a program or a polished production. It comes from God Himself.

And yet so many of us are exhausted from trying to do kingdom work without the God of the kingdom. We are running on empty, wondering why nothing seems to change, when the answer has been available all along.

Here is the truth that should encourage you today: the way up is not through more effort. It is through surrender. You get higher by going lower. You get stronger by admitting you cannot do it on your own.

When God’s people come together in unity around Jesus, something supernatural happens. The impossible becomes possible. The thing that seemed too far gone becomes the thing made brand new. That is not a motivational idea. That is a promise backed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Bible Verse
'But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.' - Acts 1:8

Reflection Question
Where in your life have you been relying on your own strength instead of asking God to fill you with His power?

Quote
"Church wasn’t supposed to go to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the innermost parts of the earth on its own ability. That’s why people fall flat of their faces. That’s why we can’t do the work of the kingdom without the God of the kingdom."

Prayer
Lord, I confess I have been trying to do Your work in my own strength. Fill me with Your Spirit today and let Your power work through my weakness. Amen.

🔥YOUTH TAKEOVER SUNDAY!🔥

What an incredible service at New Life! Our youth stepped up and took over the service, and they absolutely brought the house down! 🙌

From powerful worship with our NL Youth and NL Kids, a challenge on giving from Docker Deal, and a Word from Jackson Long that challenged and encouraged us, it was amazing to see the next generation serving, leading, and proclaiming Jesus!

We are so proud of our NL Youth, NL Kids, and the awesome leaders. We are also thankful for a church that makes room for the next generation to rise and use their gifts for God's glory!

The next generation isn't just the church of tomorrow—they are the church of today!🔥

💧WHAT A SUNDAY!🙌

There's nothing like celebrating new life in Christ! We had an incredible Sunday at New Life Church filled with powerful worship, a timely Word, and the beautiful celebration of baptisms!

We rejoice with those who took this step of obedience and publicly declared their faith in Jesus. What a testimony of God's grace, redemption, and transforming power!

Old things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new!

Day 3 devotion from Pastor Andy's July 26 message.

The Fire Falls on a Ready Altar

On Mount Carmel, Elijah did not just pray and hope something happened. He prepared. He repaired the altar, arranged the wood, placed the sacrifice, and then called on God. The fire did not fall on a half-hearted effort. It fell on a ready altar.

In Acts chapter 2, something similar happened. The believers had surrendered. They had waited. They had yielded. And when the altar was ready, the fire came. Not a small, manageable flame. A rushing wind. Tongues of fire. A power so undeniable that thousands were changed in a single day.

That same Holy Spirit who filled the Upper Room is still filling hearts today. He has not retired. He has not changed. He is still looking for people who are fully surrendered, not just Sunday-morning surrendered, but every-day, every-moment surrendered.

Full surrender is not weakness. It is the most courageous thing a person can do. It means trusting God enough to stop holding back the parts of your life you have been gripping tightly. It means letting Him be God in every room of your heart, not just the ones you have tidied up.

When you surrender fully, you become a ready altar. And ready altars do not stay cold for long.

Bible Verse
'On the coming of the day of Pentecost they were all together in one place.' - Acts 2:1

Reflection Question
What part of your life are you still holding back from full surrender to God?

Quote
"On Carmel, the sacrifice was placed upon the altar. In Acts chapter 2, the believers became the sacrifice. They had surrendered. They had waited. They had yielded. And when the altar was ready, the fire came."

Prayer
Holy Spirit, I want to be a ready altar. Take every part of me, including the parts I have been holding back, and fill me with Your fire. Amen.
