Our offering moment this past Sunday celebrated our Kids Worship Arts program, which presented a musical called "In the Image" at our April Together Tuesday meal. The children worked together to present songs, recite lines, and work sound for their production!😍

Amazing, creative work KWA! And a big thanks to the KWA director Cristen Mitchell who put this work of art together! 🎉

🎼BUMC Community Updates!🎼

🎼Our Together Tuesday Meal - happening tomorrow Tuesday April 21st - has a special musical performance taking place during the meal by our Kids Worship Arts program! Join us at 6pm for the meal and "In the Image" musical!

🥪This coming Sunday, April 26th, we have a College Student Luncheon planned for after the 11am service. All students are welcome to join!

🎒Our Guatemala team is asking for some donations as they prepare for their trip coming up in June. Items needed include: prayers, peanut butter, small toys, children's cough medicine, children's vitamins, hygeine and feminine hygeine products, over the counter medicines, art supplies, combs, brushes, pony-tail bands. Items can be dropped off outside of Whisner.

📕Our youth are busy creating some school supply cabinets for the IFP and Fun143 trailer. We need school supplies to stock these cabinets! If able, please drop off some school supplies (folders, notebooks, earbuds, pencils, pens, sharpeners, etc) outside of Whisner.

On Saturday, our Whisner building was filled with around 120 people who showed up to make a difference in our world. The youngest was four years old, and the oldest was in their nineties! 🎊

Folks from both of our campuses, Wesley students, and some friends from Summer Musical Enterprise were all gathered together to assemble meals for Rise Against Hunger – an organization focused on fighting hunger in developing nations! These meals packed on Saturday will be used specifically for school food insecurity. The efforts of these awesome volunteers will support kids’ education by making food available. 🍚

Together we packaged 14,000 meals! We give special thanks to Josh and Kristen McGilliard as well as the SERVE ministry team for their efforts in making this event possible! 🤩

Our offering moment on Sunday celebrated the impact of the Spaghetti fundraiser that our youth ministry planned and led in December. The dinner was raising funds for an elementary school in Ghana that was in need of many basic supplies and decent tables and chairs for their students. One of our members, George Armah, had a special connection to this school and communicated the specific needs to our youth, who raised $2,863 for the school!

A note from George Armah reads in part:

"On behalf of the 30 children now sitting at colorful tables, learning with new books, and eating nutritious meals in
Gomoa Fetteh — thank you. Your Youth Group's faith and generosity transformed this classroom. What began as
a fundraising goal has become a living reality for children who previously had nothing but bare walls and worn
wooden tables."
