The United Women in Faith are challenging you to commit to giving during these 40 days of Lent…to bring these essential needs to the Black River Falls United Methodist Church to be donated to the Essential Needs Pantry:

Please prayerfully consider what you can do to help men, women, and children in our community by providing these simple items that we so often take for granted.

6:00pm - Andrew Epps - Climate Justice Presentation

Andrew will be presenting via ZOOM.

Andrew Epps will be giving a talk about climate justice on September 11 at 6:00pm at the Black River Falls United Methodist Church, 100 N 4 th Street, Black River Falls. He is the son of Tom and Lois Epps and was born and raised in Black River Falls. He currently works in Chicago at Sweet Water Foundation, a nonprofit organization that runs a two-acre community farm on the city’s South Side. Driven by values of regeneration and “small is beautiful,” Sweet Water has developed an intergenerational social justice practice that creates safe and inspiring places grounded in the local ecology. Andrew graduated this spring from Cornell University with a degree in city planning, where he focused on urban adaptation to climate change and community-led development. He will be talking about the uneven impacts of climate change and how taking small actions can have big impacts that can heal ourselves and our communities.
Andy will be joining us through ZOOM technology as part of the United Women In Faith mission outreach. Everyone is invited to attend from the church and community. You are welcome to attend at 5:00 – 5:45pm and bring an “environmentally friendly” bag lunch to enjoy fellowship together, followed by the presentation at 6pm in the church sanctuary. A free will offering will be collected and given to the Sweet Water Foundation in support of their efforts.

Calling all young women in 6th-12th grades and their mom's. The UWF (United Women in Faith) will be gathering this Monday December 5th beginning at 5:30pm. We will have a potluck supper, have a short program and then make Christmas cards. Message me with any questions--Suzanne

What a wonderful and impressive presentation by Bobbi & Anneliese from Black River Area Foster Closet ! We were happy to make a monetary donation along with many pairs of pajamas and books that address people, feelings, reactions and concerns of new foster children.
