South Community Church Connecting people to God and each other through genuine community
Sundays at 9:15am & 11am That's the bottom line.

South Community Church was founded on the inspiration that community is the lifeblood of human beings and it's a gift God has given us. Yeah we know it's not a new concept, just a concept we all have wired in our DNA. Jesus wanted community for us and we at South Church desire community for each and every one of you. That's every age group finding like minded and like hearted people to grow old wi

th. South Community Church will be extremely intentional about finding community for each person that comes through our doors. But not only that, we believe that within this community we’re challenged to live a Spirit filled life. How do we know? 1 John 3:24 says, “Those who obey His commands live in Him, and He in them. And this is how we know that He lives in us: We know it by the Spirit He gave us.” That’s why we’re so excited! The Savior Jesus gave us His Spirit to live a life that’s joyful and exhilarating, not routinely average. We believe that when Jesus ascended into heaven, the Holy Spirit is what He left us. And all too often we don't live with that power, that wisdom, that guidance, and that comfort! It's time for us as God's children to rest on that belief and live with that power.

Acts 7 is one of the most powerful chapters in Scripture. “Weeping and gnashing of teeth” carries a deeper meaning than many realize. Listen as Pastor Mark unpacks this important truth. ✝️

We asked what department works the hardest at church and somehow everyone said social media 👀😎

Full of the Holy Spirit | Acts 6 & 7

As the early church continued to grow, many people—even temple workers—witnessed the power of God at work and chose to leave their old ways behind to follow Jesus (Acts 6:7).

Stephen’s life gives us a picture of what it means to be full of the Holy Spirit. Even in the face of persecution, his words reflected his relationship with God. Rather than responding with anger or seeking revenge, he extended grace and forgiveness.

Being full of the Holy Spirit isn’t just about what we experience—it’s revealed by how we live, speak, and respond to others. As Romans 12:19 reminds us, never take your own revenge. Trust God with justice and allow the Holy Spirit to guide your words and actions.

Happy Father’s Day!

Today we celebrate and honor all of the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who faithfully lead, love, and serve their families. We are grateful for the godly impact you make in the lives of those around you.

Most importantly, we thank our Heavenly Father for His unfailing love, grace, and faithfulness.

We pray that today is filled with joy, encouragement, and the reminder of how deeply you are loved.

Happy Father’s Day from all of us at South Community Church! ❤️

We love seeing our church family serve our community!

Today, many of our South Community Church volunteers joined alongside Day of Hope to help pack 1,125 bags that will be distributed to families and children in need throughout our area.

We are so thankful for everyone who stepped up to serve. Opportunities like this remind us that the Church isn’t just a place we go—it’s who we are. As we meet practical needs, we also have the privilege of sharing the hope of Jesus with those around us.

Thank you to everyone who represented South Community Church so well today. We are grateful to partner with organizations like Day of Hope that are making a lasting impact in our community. We can’t wait to see all that God does through these efforts!

What a powerful way to end Camp SouthKids 2026! 💚

Tonight, we celebrated lives being changed as kids took the next step in their faith through baptism. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing young hearts say “yes” to Jesus and publicly declare their faith.

We are so grateful for all God has done this week—the lives touched, the seeds planted, the decisions made, and the memories created. Thank you to every volunteer, leader, parent, and student who made this week possible.

The week may be over, but we believe God is just getting started. 🙌

Day 3 of Camp SouthKids was all about Trust & Obey! 🌊

Rusty tried to fix his problem his own way, but nothing worked. Just like Naaman in the Bible, he had to learn that God’s way is always best—even when it doesn’t make sense. When Rusty chose to trust the prophet’s instructions and obey, he was healed!

Our big takeaway today: Trust God and obey Him, even when you don’t understand the plan. His ways are higher than ours, and He is always faithful. 💙

We had an incredible day learning that obedience opens the door for God to do amazing things in our lives!

Night 2 Recap ✨

Last night, Rusty learned a powerful lesson about humility and serving others. After becoming prideful from his victory, Rusty wanted others to serve him instead of serving those around him. When the King instructed him to wash a Roman soldier’s feet, he refused.

But everything changed when Rusty saw Jesus—the Son of the King—humbly washing people’s feet. Through Jesus’ example, Rusty realized that true greatness isn’t found in being served, but in serving others.

We learned that following Jesus means putting others first and serving with a humble heart. 💙
