We gather for worship to honor our amazing God, welcome back all our church school and confirmation students, install our teachers, and say a farewell for now to our music coordinator, Dmytro Somkin, as he and his family leave the US to reapply for a long-term visa. Our Mission Focus this month is the LWR Kits! Help our quilters complete kits by donating Shirts and T-shirts (size 6 to 24 months), jackets, and hooded sweatshirts for their baby kits, as well as towels (no larger than 27"x52") and metal nail clippers for their personal care kits.

Gospel PraiSing Fiesta fall schedule! After a break for the GPS Festival, we will be back at Mayas Mexican Restaurant this Sunday, Sept. 6th, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. We don't have all our guest musicians yet, so we will update as we go.

Community Action Food Pantry will benefit from any donations we receive from the September through December Fiestas. Community Action Region 7 benefits people in the counties of Burleigh, Emmons, Grant, Kidder, McLean, Mercer, Morton, Oliver, Sheridan, and Sioux.

We gather to worship our faithful and with-us God during this season of Ordinary Time. FLC member Joseph Michalka brings us a message today from Romans 12 about deepening community by weeping with those who weep and rejoicing with those who rejoice. Thank you, Joe! We also welcome Elizabeth Lien into the Body of Christ through Holy Baptism!

What a joyful day to celebrate with the whole church the installation of Western North Dakota Synod’s new bishop: Bishop Lisa Lewton! Many rostered and lay leaders from across the church gathered at St. John Lutheran in Dickinson, along with ecumenical guests and Presiding Bishop Yehiel Curry. Hallelujah! Thanks be to God!
