Heart River Bridges of Hope We believe in a future with HOPE. Heart River Bridges of Hope is an outgrowth of the ministry at Heart River Lutheran Church in Mandan, ND.

We are an ecumenical ministry providing youth and adults whose lives have been impacted by the criminal justice system with opportunities for community worship, wellness, and mutually enriching relationships. This ecumenical ministry (for all faith backgrounds) is a mission opportunity to serve the entire state of North Dakota. We accompany youth and adults on the campuses of the Youth Correctiona

l Center & Heart River Correctional Center in Mandan throughout their incarceration and reentry by providing meaningful community, resources, and opportunities for fellowship and wellness. We strive to empower faith communities across the state by providing tools, education, and opportunities for service and advocacy. We are grateful to be in partnership with:

One of the things we are reminded of again and again in this ministry is that none of us are meant to carry life's burdens alone.

Many of the people we serve are navigating challenges such as incarceration, reentry, recovery, mental health struggles, family difficulties, or simply the uncertainty of what comes next. We all need encouragement, support, and people who will walk alongside us.

Prayer is one way we do that. This week, we'd like to pray for you.

Each resident leaving the Youth Correctional Center receives a fresh start backpack - the things that will be needed soon after release. Heart River Bridges of Hope partners with Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck to collect items, and then adds in extras geared for young people. We are grateful for all our ministry partners who help us in this ministry!
