Sunday, June 14, we'll be continuing our review of the Ten Commandments with Commandment number two - “You shall not make for yourself a carved image." There's a lot more to it than just those nine words. Join us for Bible study at 9:30 and assembly at 10:30!

Quotes to ponder:

1) Your flesh does not care about eternity...because it is not going with you.
2) He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.

“The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” This is Eve’s response to God after He asked what she had done by giving Adam the forbidden fruit (Genesis 3:13). My message this week implores Christians to remain diligent in the truth of God’s commandments and to expect dire consequences whenever we are deceived by Satan and his followers.

The Sound of Silence

How is it that the church has remained largely silent in a culture that has embraced darkness and the ‘death’ of God? This Sunday we will examine various reasons from the constraints of political correctness to the lure of social acceptance.

Why do people think there are so many? Why is it important to have no other god before God the Father? The answers to these questions and more Sunday. Join us...and bring a friend!

Isaiah 66:13 states, “As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you.” In this text the prophet Isaiah helps us value the Love of God the Father by comparing it to a mother’s love. On this Mother’s Day we shall draw from this analogy to celebrate motherhood and, most importantly, understand that God is loving, nurturing, caring and forgiving; reflective of the goodness we received from our mothers through the providence of God.

Looking forward to seeing the Saints at Central Oconee.
