There’s something about Church! I mean, not just the building but everyone that enters and every experience we share. I’ve never been able to just walk in, sit a spell, and then leave without sharing moments of joy, love, and laughter. The common bond is Jesus Christ! Jesus said He would always be with us and our mission is to walk in faith. We are also reminded to come together as often as possible to strengthen one another. Time together in worship and praise increases our hope and rejuvenates our spirit in love and service.

SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON 5/17/2026, CHRISTIAN MANNER OF JUSTICE, Deuteronomy 24:14-21; Ephesians 6:5-9; 1 Timothy 6:17-19.

In simple terms justice is fair and equal treatment of others. The Bible says that there will always poor people among us. Life happens… death, loss of employment, sickness, calamity. Those who have should share happily and generously. Whether by alms or opportunities. Christians should help and not hinder others. People should not suffer intimidation or brutality, and there should be a reasonable expectation for debts to be paid off and people should have an opportunity for a new start. People should not be dehumanized or threatened by those with authority. Paul reminds Timothy that those who have means and are wealthy should use their resources to support and uplift others during their time of economic distress. It’s important to remember that we are all blessed to be a blessing.

SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON 5/10/2026, WORK AS CHRISTIAN DUTY, Genesis 15; Exodus 20:8; John 5:17; John 9:4; Acts 20:33-35; 2 Thessalonians 3:6-12.

We were made to work. From the beginning of time, work has been God’s Will. Working provides for those in need and for oneself! Work gives purpose. Work glorifies God! We don’t work to live, we live to work! We are called to work and we must embrace this reality of Christian duty and be thankful for each opportunity.

SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON 5/3/2026, CHRISTIAN EXPECTATION OF GRACE, Jonah 3:1-5 and Jonah 4:6-11.

When God directs us to do something, we must swiftly obey Him. We cannot hide nor can we run from God! And when we try to run, hide, or resist His will, there are consequences! Still, His will shall be done. Jonah had tried to run and hide from God and he suffered. Now, this time he obeyed God’s commands. THANK GOD FOR SECOND CHANCES!!! His grace and mercy allowed Jonah another chance.
More, God even offers second chances to those you may feel is undeserving. Never allow yourself to be unhappy when God blesses others. He loves us one and all!
