After 47 Years of Faithful Service

With heartfelt gratitude and deep appreciation, we announce the retirement of our beloved pastor after 47 years of faithful ministry at First Missionary Baptist Church, Pratt City, effective May 31, 2026.

For nearly five decades, Pastor Pettaway has faithfully preached the Word, shepherded our congregation, and walked alongside generations of families through moments of joy, sorrow, growth, and grace. His unwavering commitment, compassionate leadership, and love for God and His people have left an indelible mark on our church and community.

While we will greatly miss his steady presence in the pulpit, we celebrate a ministry well run and a legacy that will continue for years to come. Please join us in thanking Pastor Pettaway for his remarkable service and in praying God’s richest blessings upon him and his family in this next chapter.
