What an incredible experience visiting the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, Tennessee. February is a meaningful time for us to reflect on our rich history and honor those who played a pivotal role in helping secure freedom and justice. As we walked through the museum, we experienced a range of emotions—reflection, gratitude, and deep respect for the sacrifices made. We were thankful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and enjoy fellowship together during this memorable visit.

Happy Black History Month! In celebration of African American culture, Sunday, February 15, 2025 was designated as “A Taste of Black Culture: Soul Food Sunday” at Deliverance. Throughout the month, we honor our culture, our rich history, and our traditions—especially the food that brings us together—while remembering and giving thanks for those who paved the way for us to stand where we are today.

Happy Black History Month! At Purity Deliverance Holiness Church, we honor and celebrate Black history throughout the entire month of February, ensuring that we never forget where we come from. African Americans have made countless contributions that continue to shape the way we live today, and our history is both powerful and deeply rich.

On Sunday, February 8, 2025, we commemorated “Legacy Day: The Black Wall Street Experience.” During this time, we not only learned about the achievements of influential individuals, but also explored how a thriving African American community was built, lived in, and later devastated by tragedy. We also discovered our city’s own “Black Wall Street” located on 4th Avenue downtown. This meaningful experience was a powerful and impactful way to begin our celebration of Black History Month.
