Now and Then:
I have harped on 2nd Corinthians 8;14,15 for the last 6 yrs thinking of how this has either been overlooked as doctrine or that it was prophesy that was also overlooked. At any point I'd say it's been overlooked. I had thought all along that it reminded me of Acts 5 the story of Ananias and Saphira but I was overlooking Acts 4 and now I'm going back and seeing how the holyspirit was why those men sold all their belongings in order that they could lay the proceeds at the feet of the apostles. I didn't realize how closely Acts 4s message is likened to 2nd Corinthians 8;14,15, both emphasize equality among all believers that none have any lack. The only question that is different is the timing, obviously Paul wrote 2nd Corinthians many years after Acts 4 played out, so the idea that he was speaking of the time as when he wrote it doesn't add up. Obviously those believers from Paul's time would have already known of this virtue of being a follower of Christ , but in our time this has not been preached that I recall as a revelation of the last days.
But as the prophesy of Acts 17;31 it makes since that there is an appointed time as when Paul says Now at this time. It also is likened to Christ talking to the rich young ruler, one thing you lack, go sell all your belongings and give to the poor.
We should be a body of believers that have equality, all things common between us.
But we have no equality and no unity of the faith, so how can we have unity if we have no equality. It seams that the only way we will ever have unity is that the saints will come with the promises and the spirit will direct us by the true preaching of the gospel and equality will occur based on our faith and the prompting of the holyspirit. There simply has to be a time not related to the time Paul wrote this, that the body will be unified which has not occured since Acts 4 played out.
And many of those believers
Knew Christ personally where we know only know him via the word of God as 2nd Corinthians 5;16 says we know no man after the flesh, we only know him via the word of God.

Now and Then:
After thinking about my last post concerning the fact that the holyspirit had come upon these men and apparently without being told to do so they went and sold their lands and brought all the proceeds to the apostles.
So we hear all the time preachers claiming the holyspirit is upon them and they speak in tongues as a sign of the holyspirit, but do they go sell all their belongings and give to the poor. From my experience it appears that they reap the rewards of this holyspirit that they claim. They hem and hah jump around acting out this supposed spirit convincing the congregation that indeed whatever they give is going to reap rewards for the giver. But as followers of Christ is not our charity for the poor, why give to the wealthy, why buy their books and enrich them, is there a need for books to teach what's already written. Or should we simply discuss what's already written.
I have thought about what it would take to write a book that would fully explain my study and I feel it would take thousands of pages to fully illustrate what is already written. I think that we have given the floor to preachers, allowing them to direct our steps, when we should have been setting in discussions where everyone is able to participate. We've taken the church out of church and replaced it with men eager to be the only one that speaks. I think the internet has offered a place of discussion if we would just take part. But doctrines rule the minds of men, traditions passed down from those that claimed the authority to teach. You can't put Paul above Christ , Peter taught a different gospel all these rules of doctrines that deny discernment. As I've said we need a man of true authority with power that can't be denied.
In my opinion it's the return of Paul being ordained to judge the world that will finally bring unity to the body of Christ.

Now and Then:
So I've been saying that Paul is foretelling of a new time after the reserection of the dead.
He uses the term Now over and again pointing too this time of Now. This is when the harvest takes place, its an appointed time, appointed by God to reconcile the body of Christ .
Paul uses phrasing concerning that Now is the accepted time, behold, Now is the day of salvation. This only occurs after the reserection of the dead. Preachers that claim that once you confess your faith then you are succoured , they are missing the revelation that Paul was sharing, its only at this accepted , appointed time can we be succoured. And he is telling us that via these harvest workers are we found in our faith, if your faith is in your possessions and provisions you've missed what faith is all about. Faith is relying only on Christ for our daily bread, if you are hoarding your provisions for yourself and forsaking the breathren you have not faith in Christ but in your provision. Thats what 2nd Corinthians 8;14,15 is all about as he says that there may be equality, that Now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality: As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he who had gathered little had no lack.
I have thought this passage was a retelling of Ananias and Saphira as in Acts 4 and 5 where all that was of the faith were too sell all their belongings in order that there would be equality amongst the breathern, this was at the revelation of the holy ghost that they all sold even their lands that none would have any lack. It was about equality amongst the breathern. So once again we have the holy spirit that will be upon these men that will arrive as Paul says in 2nd Corinthians 1;22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the spirit in our hearts. If this appointed time is like the time of acts 4 and 5 then the price of denying the spirit must be the same. Like Paul warns to examine ourselves to know we are in faith, if in faith the spirit should convict you to give up your wealth , your lands , your provisions you have gathered.
I mean do we know when late is too late, can we assume that after the dead rise then we sell all that we have, or is this a command that all that come to faith must give all to the body , even if the appointed day could be many years away, is that the faith you have , untill then I will hold back what I have so dillegently earned. I have asked why has this not been taught as doctrine to live by, but preachers have been man pleasers not willing to tell the wealthy amongst them that they are to sell all their belongings and give to the poor. You should ask yourself why does James say that God has chosen the poor, the rich in faith, those called to be heirs. It should be very obvious, only the poor are chosen. The poor give from their lack. You find how poor people live and you would see, they share what they have. The poorest family I ever knew was the happiest family I ever knew.
They had almost nothing but we're always willing to share.
You may ride around with a fish on your car but have a demon in your heart, and not even know it. You talk about following Jesus but you fail to hear him. Over and again he spoke to the wealthy pleading that they understand, you may think you are holy , but one thing you lack, sell all your belongings and give to the poor and then follow me.
You think that because I am poor compared too you that I have problems, you don't know the problems you have.

Now and Then:
As I've stated I don't believe as Paul wrote the gospel that he exactly knew how the revelation would play out, being that the order he wrote each letter was not how they would be arranged. If you consider the first letter to the galations written around AD 48-49 which would become the 4th letter and the 1st letter Romans was written around AD 57 some 8 to 9 yrs later, and then the two letters to the Corinthians were written around AD 53-56 yet the two letters that would appear 1st and 2nd prior to the mystery which was recorded near the end of 1st Corinthians would both have this one phrase, called to be saints. Too me this is a intent by the Lord to express that in order that you are called to be a saint it would have to occur before the reserection of the dead. Being that none of the letters after the mystery contain this phrase it let's us know that the saints that appear in 2nd Corinthians were called to be saints prior to the reserection of the dead and there appearance beginning at 2nd Corinthians is a proof that the saints arrival is foretold.
You see this same idea in Colossians 1;5,6 when Paul explains this hope that has come as in all the world that brings forth fruit , obviously it's the saints that Paul is referring too. And as he says in all the world, this let's us know that each letter is a microcosm in the revelation of this time that is yet to come. The saints will not only be all over Achia but the whole world. You see the same in Colossians 1;23 where Paul states that the gospel has been preached to every creature under heaven, you simply have to ask ,was that possible when wrote all these letters, being he hardly ventured beyond Asia Minor in his ministry.
So this is how I discern scripture, I look closely at what is said, its actually following the precepts which is obviously speech. You have to absorb it, and feel that the Lord has hidden this for those that study and actually consider what is written. One of my favorite things I've found is the question mark at the end of Luke 15;4, I don't know how many times I heard that passage preached but not once did I ever hear , I wonder what this question mark is about. But with a little study you should find that Luke answers the question in verse 7 when he says there will be much joy in heaven over the one that is found , over the 99 just persons that need no repentance. This actually points us back to Pauls gospel where the faithful have been justified and are the righteousness of God in Christ . The good shepard didn't leave the 99 in the wilderness where the wolves could come and take a spoil, the 99 were delivered from the wrath already, the one lost had strayed from the sheep fold where they were safe.
And just to make the point about Pauls third visit to Corinth, to date he's only been there twice, and his third visit is for those that have heretofore sinned upon this third visit that has not yet occured. So Lord bless, if you like my content please like and share.

Now and Then:
So in my last post I showed how Paul is explaining there are two time frames Now and Then.
And that Paul and Timothy and other saints arrive into the time he called Then, so once in the time of Then ,everything becomes present tense, the time becomes the new time of Now, because they have arrived. And the first use of the word Now is 2nd Corinthians 6;2 Now is the day of salvation.
This is the appointed time where Paul is ordained to be a minister and to judge the world in righteousness, a prophesy from Acts 17;31 and we have two very good clues, one in 2nd Corinthians 3rd chapter where Paul explains the ministration of righteousness that exceeds in glory . And 2nd Corinthians 5;21 we see that because of what Christ did that we may all become the righteousness of God in Christ, so you should notice it's future tense because it has not happened yet, your preacher may say this about you or others but the harvest determines who is righteous. Its true you may qualify but it's judgement by the one ordained.
As Paul explains in 2nd Corinthians 13;5 to examine ourselves to make sure we are in faith. You may say he's talking to the Corinthians not the church you attend. Its a microcosm to give the warning to all churches, all Christans.
As I've shown many times that Corinth means place of the peak which fits perfectly with the reserection of the dead, those that come up out of the Graves are saints and they have our inheritance and all the promises. Also we see that Paul shows that the saints in light have our inheritance and thru them we are translated into the Kingdom of his dear son, Christ Kingdom in Colossians 1;12,13 Colossia means city of refuge once again fits perfectly that Christ Kingdom is a place of refuge, then 1st Thessalonians Paul opens to the church of the Thessalonians which are in God and in Christ , this is the fulfillment of 2nd Corinthians 5;21 all the enter the church of the Thessalonians have been delivered from the wrath, they are the righteousness of God in Christ, gathered into the place of refuge. Thessaloniki means victory over falseities, once again fits perfectly that the church of the Thessalonians is the victorious church all have been justified through the ministry of reconciliation which is Paul and Timothy and other saints ministry, they are all workers as 2nd Corinthians 6;1 explains, harvest workers.
Another instance of the use of the word Now is 2nd Corinthians 8;14,15 But by an equality , that Now at this time.
Think about this passage is a direct quote from the exodus , its the time of our exodus as faithful Christians, but this is a matter of faith, do you value your overage more than you value your brothers and sisters in the faith. Do you think I have saved and stored up all my provisions and I can't give up what I have so dillegently earned. Its basically the retelling of the story of Ananias and Saphira, this was the sharing of the wealth amongst the followers of Christ. So likewise Paul is saying the same thing that Now at this time may there be equality, I'm telling you this time has not yet come, but why hasn't this been preached all along , why do we have filthy rich preachers that continue to ignore this passage if they know not what I'm telling you about this appointed time.
They are man pleasers that deny doctrine that they don't understand and enrich themselves. They are not in faith and they will be judged so, unless they repent at this appointed time after the dead in Christ rise. As Paul says in 2nd Corinthians 13 if I come again I will not spare. I can't say this time of harvest means you have 3 1/2 yrs to repent, it may be your faith is tested by the holyspirit and Pauls judgement arrives at your church first. The warning has already been given, it would be better to forge equality Now than to wait untill the dead arrive. Its a sobering thought that while living in your gated community with your life savings and retirement plans all in place to think that Christ who lives in Paul might say, I never knew you.

Now and Then:
My study has been about these two different time frames Now and Then. What you must understand is that Paul did not write his letters in the order they appear in the new testament, so as he said in 1st Corinthians 13;12 Now I know in part , so his knowledge was in part, God had a plan for salvation and from Pauls perspective he didn't get the order in which his letters would take place prophetically. And in 1st Corinthians 13;10 he actually said that when perfect was to come , then that which was in part would be done away. So he knew that his knowledge in part would turn to knowledge complete, once the reserection of the dead occured, and he knew that then he would be known even as also he is known, because he would be amoung those that would be delivered from death , to life. He wrote this in 2nd Corinthians 1;9,10, which in verse 9 we see a truth that we all live by, he tells it in the past tense, but we still live it in the present tense, so we would say, but we have the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves , but in God who raises the dead. Where Paul stated but we had, emphasis on had past tense.
This is a Intimation announcement of things to come, a prophesy, proven by the fact that we all still live in the time Paul called Now where we all still face the possibility of death knocking on our door.
But once the dead rise then all the prophesies will play out, I believe basically in real time. Once we have crossed over into the time frame Paul called Then, then his prophesies will become Now as the pages are turned. So we have to bear in mind that Paul delivers these prophesies as if they had already occured. Like 2nd Corinthians 1;20 in a nutshell he tells us the promises are yes and amen, think about the book of Romans , it has been called the book of promises, its like if I promise that tomarrow I'll come cut your grass, you know that doesn't mean today, so a promise is a prophesy.
So when you get to Ephesians 2;13 Paul is giving prophesy when he says , But Now in Christ Jesus, so this is still in the future for us because we have not yet crossed over into that time frame. God has not yet broken down the wall of partician, your preacher may claim it's already done, but just think about what Paul is saying, he's talking about us being able to experience the things of heaven. And those things are the saints that will have come marching in. They are the vessels of mercy that were promised, and they have the promises. 2nd Corinthians 7;1 Paul gives us this information that will occur as he states , having therefore these promises , let us cleanse ourselves of the filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord.
I look at it this way, if your setting on the couch watching TV and someone knocks on the door, you open and find your dad that died 50 yrs ago is standing there , if you can get over the fact that he is young and perfect you'll know then that God has broken down the wall of partician. I myself would probably go ahead and die, my heart would explode and the Lord would have to raise me back to life then and there. So you have to read 2nd Corinthians thru Thessalonians with the perspective of prophesy. Then it becomes easy to understand.
One of the biggest proofs of this is 1st Timothy 1;18-20 the prophesies that went before on Timothy, the first mention of Timothy is 2nd Corinthians 1;1 in the KJB , so Paul has his pointer out pointing to the beginning of these Prophesies.
As Paul wrote this , he probably didn't completely understand even though Christ delivered every word he wrote directly to the hand of Paul that wrote it.
That may or may not be true, but as Paul said Now I know in part. As I have shared many times before my dad visited me in a dream on my front poarch , I didn't have this perspective.
I was still listening to others talk about the rapture that was about to happen back many yrs ago. Once I had the dream the Lord began to reveal the perspective that I have. And this perspective can be understood in many different ways. There are many different things I have wrote about as to how to understand all that is written.

Now and Then:
If you've followed my study at all ,you would know I have made claims that Paul ,Timothy and the saints are apart of the reserection of the dead, and that Paul and Timothy have this ministry of reconciliation which is the harvest of the church, and all faithful believers will be gathered into the church of the Thessalonians which are in God and in Christ , which Thessaloniki which means victory over falseities which makes the church of the Thessalonians the victorious church. Of course this is sumbolic in nature. And then you would also know that I claim that written in scripture Paul would be the greater of the two witnesses the other being Peter, I initially thought the other would be Timothy but I have come to believe it would be Peter. I have shown scripture that to me reads as if Paul will actually be crucified which I relate to the sign of Jonah. I quote multiple verses that I think definitely point to this.
I can give those verses at anytime, but I wanted to focus on one verse in particular, but first I wanted to set the stage for this one verse by saying that we know that the gospel is the good news, and we know we serve a merciful God that loves us, and we know through study that God has repented more than anyone, he has changed his mind many times on things he said he would never do. Saying that the persecutions against faithful believers have been terrible and with all the rapture theories the fait of humanity has looked quite grave as if God would have to sn**ch us out of here in an emergency situation.
So the one verse is apart of my theory that Paul would be crucified and the ramifications of this one verse could mean that maybe just maybe that our glorious Savior has made a way that nothing we have feared would have to come to pass that through the incredible mercy of God that every single person that ever thought of being saved would find salvation and that every single atheist that ever denied Christ would come to worship him. The only people that would be lost would be those that belong to Satan , those who have done the will of Satan, have killed and persecuted in his name would be destroyed along with their father Satan, all his lies taken to hell with him.
OK, I've set the stage that I believe there is a verse that gives us this chance that what I'm saying could be the ultimate repentance of the Lord because of his incredible mercy for man.
It hinges on one word in this verse in Pauls gospel. Phillipians 2;17 Paul states,Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
Can you guess the word.

Think about how huge that word is in this passage, it has been nagging at me for literally months. Paul uses that word in another passage in 2nd Corinthians 13;2 where says if I come again , I will not spare.

So my thoughts are that our loving God and Lord and Savior all along knew that he would prove his love in the most incredible way, that he would draw us all into too him, through love for him and for oneanother that he would in a sense for go all the great tribulation , cancel the need for another sacrifice that I have believed would be Paul , wouldn't that be the greatest move ever by God that he would set up his Kingdom right here in the midst of all the evil that has surrounded us our entire lives. I just can't see any other reason for all that scripture has set up for the end times that Paul would say if I be offered , it just leaves the door wide open for our Savior to transform this world into paradise that we've all long for, all of our lives we take vacations that gave us this taste of what paradise might look like, of course most vacations didn't turn out that way but the pictures have been great. So I have been harping on 2nd Corinthians 8;14,15 for years now, I had thought this one verse sounds like socialism. Which should have drawn all democrats to the defense of Paul ages ago. But believing is so hard to do, because everything wants to deny it. A good friend posted I'm guessing a verse I'm not sure, but he said something to the effect of Lord help me with my disbelief.
Anyhow regardless of how this glorious word of God plays out, my faith is in my Savior , my Lord and my God.

Now and Then:
So I was thinking about the rich young ruler recorded in Matthew 19;16-26, Luke 18;18-30, and Mark 10;17-27
So in Matthew the young ruler stated he kept the commandments, and ask what does he lack. Jesus says, if thou will be perfect go and sell that though hast and give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven. But he couldn't do it and went away sorrowful.
And then Jesus mentions that like the camel trying to pass through the eye of the needle , how difficult it would be for a rich man to enter into heaven. So Luke's account is almost exactly the same. And again in Marks account we see almost the same. There are minor differences but the main issue appears to be wealth that gets in the way.
And there's a parable known as the rich fool. Luke 12;16-21
Here we have a guy that's ground has brought forth pleantifully. You could say his business abilities produced much . He has thought I have no room for all my provisions , so he pulls down his barns and builds greater barns and then he feels his soul is satisfied and that he can rest and be merry. But then God speaks up , thou fool this very night your soul is required and whose shall these things be.
And so the Lord said so is he that layeth up treasures for himself, and is not rich toward God.
Likewise Paul is saying the same thing in 2nd Corinthians 8;14,15, only this account is a quote from the exodus and he says now at this time, what time, the appointed time , this is like a final warning about being in faith, final because the quote is from the exodus, as I have shown in so many ways the harvest begins at 2nd Corinthians 1;1 where Paul announces Timothy and the saints. The dead in Christ that will rise is who Paul is speaking of . And Paul states that they have been delivered from so great a death in 2nd Corinthians 1;9,10, this is why Paul says I travail in birthagain to attempt to form Christ in you. But if you ignore the gospel that Paul is preaching because the preacher says that's not what Paul meant by 2nd Corinthians 8;14,15, then the gospel has been hid from you. All the time I hear excuses for this passage saying that's not what he meant, they have given many different ideas about the meaning none that just say you know what , no overage means no overage, it means equality, and I have many possessions and I need to distribute all I have to the poor, those that gather little . Just as Christ stated , one thing you lack.
So how much more can be said, if you don't heed the words of Christ, if Paul didn't mean what he says then what will ultimately change your mind.
I have stated that a man of authority given power to convince any critic of the scripture must come, and apparently thats exactly what Acts 17;31 states that a man will be ordained to judge the world in righteousness and as Paul says if I come again I will not spare. Will God require your soul from you while you sit on your poarch all proud of yourself because of all you have gathered, thinking God has blessed me with all I will ever need, and my children will never want for anything. But as Jesus said it will be as in the days of Noah, the more he preached the more they ignored him untill it was too late. I think the truth is that so many have been told by man pleasers , that's not what God meant, he wasn't speaking to you, he wants you to be blessed , he wants you to prosper in this life, you simply need to not look at those poor people on the side of the road, just drive on by like you didn't see them, their probably hung over anyway. I'm sure many would say , I have helped my brother or sister and it never helps to keep them from needing more help, its like I can forgive them no longer. They made their bed let them sleep in it. You ever thought that God made them that way to test you, to find out would you actually forsake them. Those who gathered little may just be unable , uneducated, unaware of the things you take for granit.
And God has all he needs to convict you if he put your on trial.
Anyhow Lord bless those who read my warnings, I say it with all the love in my heart for you, I pray no one falls short of faith.

Now and Then:
I woke this morning to Galations 1;10. It was just the thought of, if the gospel is so good then why would Paul say , if I please man I'm not worthy to be the servant of Jesus Christ, I actually didn't know where the passage was located, so I layed there and speculated where it was, I thought it sounds like 2nd Corinthians ,but I know 2nd Corinthians so well , surley i would remember where it was at, it must be elsewhere, I thought about ephesians or phillipians or colossians, and I thought it can't be in any of those books because those books don't have that theme to them. I decided to get up and go look it up. Mind you I was thinking if the gospel is so good then why would Paul talk about being a man pleaser. It turns out the passage was right after Paul was declaring if anyman preach another gospel , let him be accursed. Then it made since that preachers that don't speak up about wealthy men in the church that have more than they can spend. They live in homes that many families could live in, they have cars in their driveways they don't drive, just prized possessions of their wealth.
I'm not saying this because I want what they have, I'm saying this because the scriptures paint a picture that the rich are not chosen by God . James 2;5 says exactly that , that God has chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, those called to be heirs. James goes on too say in 5;1-3 that those who store up treasures for the last days, that their gold and silver will cankor on them. So I don't want anyone's wealth, I'd rather be poor. I'm not saying I'm an authority of scripture, I have confessed that I'm not educated like many, I hated school, which is strange being my dad was a school principal. He died when I was 8 yrs old, I never really got to know him. I did fear the switch in his hand , dear Lord I wanted nothing to do with that switch. Other than that I really didn't know him that well. I knew I loved him dearly , and missed him terribly. I remembered vacation Bible school and the story of the camel trying to pass through the eye of the needle and I wanted nothing to do with wealth. If anything stood between me and being reunited with my dad , I didn't want it.
I think if these wealthy men read the scriptures the way I do they would sell all their possessions and run to the feet of Jesus and plead for salvation. But who is going to preach that message from the pulpit, most preachers have gathered much wealth so they themselves are compromised.
I have shared that I know of preachers that are paid 8 to 12 thousand dollars to preach when they travel to other churches, the church hosting them always takes up a love offering to cover the expense.
I hate it for them, I worry they would never admit what they've done. Paul talks about having all the gifts of the spirit yet if he is not charitable then he is nothing. I think that is in 1st Corinthians but I could be wrong, I have not committed all the scriptures to memory.
I have thought if all Christians lived by 2nd Corinthians 8;14,15 would there be crime anymore, that may sound strange but if every Christian business owner made sure that his employees were well taken care of would that not grow among all people that their needs would be met and they wouldn't have a need to steal, and lose their job and then wind up is more crime. But these business owners want wealth maybe their not Christain at all. But if all Christans lived this way, surely it would have a massive effect on humanity. Those Christian run companies would thrive if God knew their intent was to take care of their employees.
Does this make since that Christian run companies with the right perspective would take over the world. But as Christ said the poor will always be with you. So think what you want about me, I have little to give and I can't imagine what giving up a fortune would be like. They talk about when the war comes and people's wealth is lost the rich men will jump off buildings in despair, because they had lost all they had managed to earn. How terrible a fait to kill yourself over money and possessions.
