At Mountaintop our vision is to Invite and Equip people to Follow Jesus. We are a people committed to being FOR our city, FOR each other, and FOR the world. We gather Sundays at 9:15 and 11:00 a.m.

The eyes help us make sense of the world around us. They help us navigate and find our way. They help us gather information and make decisions… Because what you see changes how you move.
But seeing clearly isn’t only about what’s in front of you. It’s about perspective. The same road can look different from a different point of view. And so can your life. Pain can look like a setback. Struggle can feel like a dead end. But what if there’s more to see? What if the struggle is shaping you? What if the obstacle is actually part of the way forward? Sometimes, a new perspective changes everything. Sometimes all it takes to see clearly is to FIX YOUR EYES.

Every person you meet is carrying a story you cannot see.

The person who seems distant may be protecting a wounded heart. The one who talks too much may be longing to feel heard. The one who serves quietly may wonder if anyone notices.

Jesus never treated people like interruptions. He slowed down, asked questions, listened, and saw beyond the surface.
May we become people who do the same—not rushing to judge, fix, or respond, but choosing to notice. Sometimes the most Christlike thing we can offer someone is our full attention.

“Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” — James 1:19

Ever notice how only winning coaches credit 'God's will'? And when athletes suffer season-ending injuries, they talk about trusting 'God's plan.' I question if that's truly the divine intention. It's unlikely God orchestrates injuries.

Some things sound true, but that doesn't mean they are… Phrases like, "Everything happens for a reason," “God won't give you more than you can handle,” or “It was just God's will,” might be offered by someone who means well, but those explanations can ultimately do more harm than good. In this series, I think you'll find that the actual truth in the Bible is much more freeing.
