On Tuesday, Feb. 21, there will be a Mardi Gras parade at 11 a.m. It will start at 14th Street and Morris Avenue near Railroad Park. Organizers are anticipating that the parade will take about 45 minutes.
The parade will end at 19th Street North and 9th Avenue North.
The streets/intersections on the parade route will be closed about 20 minutes before the parade reaches the certain areas along the route. The closings will open right after the parade passes.
Please note that the street closings at the top of the parade will start around 10:40 a.m. or 10:45 a.m.
Those parking along the route or at the Boutwell deck will want to take note that the parade will go down19th Street North, passing the entrance and exit of the Boutwell deck. While the parade is active, no entrances or exits will be allowed for the Boutwell deck off 19th Street North. However, motorists will be able to enter the Boutwell deck off of Rev. Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd.
