Our Lady of Sorrows Music Ministry OLS welcomes all to follow our Music Ministry FB page for updates and announcements! Our goal is to proclaim God's word through music.

The OLS Music Ministry consists of the Adult Choir, Folk Choir, Children's Choir, Cantors, and Instrumentalists. We share our faith, our time, and talents with one another and with the parish. We hope to continue to grow as a ministry and to always sing unto the Lord for God is good all of the time.

The OLS Sunday 10am Choir wish to congratulate these three seniors who graduated last week.
Claire Placzek- Vestavia Hills HS, served in the choir for 3 years, and will attend Auburn University to study Business.
Laura Bukelis- Vestavia Hills HS, served in the choir for 1 year, and will attend UAB to study Cancer Biology.
Alex Spears- Hewitt-Trussville HS, served in the choir for 5 years, and will attend UAB to study Materials Engineering.
We have been so blessed to have these young people serve the music ministry and wish them well as they enter this new chapter of their lives!

OLS Music Director, Caroline Spears, was given the opportunity to speak to the students of Samford University about how her role(s) in the arts impact the community. She has a degree in vocal performance, but she has many different jobs and the one common theme that connects them all is community. Community isn’t something we find, it’s something we build.

The Sunday 10am Choir had their Holy Week rehearsal followed by lunch and ‘Guess Who: Choir Babies.’ It was so much fun! The choir has been working super hard to make this Holy Triduum special and prayerful for our faith community.
