Yesterday, May 3 was Rev. Alaric May’s last Sunday with us, and it’s hard to put into words what his time here has truly meant.
Rev. May, thank you for being a dutiful man of the Word. In such a short time, you helped lead us to make meaningful strides—even up a rough mountainside. The journey may not have been long, but the climb wasn’t easy… and still, you led us a mighty long way. Through your teaching, your preaching, your prayers, and your faithful works—God showed Himself. It was seen, it was felt, and it will not be forgotten.
Sometimes God sends people for a season—not because it will be easy, but because it will be meaningful. And you, Rev. May, poured into us in a way that made a lasting impact. Your faithfulness, your devotion, your leadership, your integrity, and your willingness to fight the good fight and stand on God’s Word—you have been a pure example of it all.
The truth is—you were loved here. You were appreciated here. And you made a difference here.
We also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Lady Nicole and your beautiful children. Thank you for sharing him with us, for standing beside him, and for the strength and support you’ve given along the way. Your family has been a blessing to us as well.
As you continue to walk boldly in your calling and dedication to the work of the Lord, please know you don’t leave empty—you leave seeds, strength, and a standard. First Baptist loves you deeply. You will truly be missed, but we are confident that you are already blessed by the Best.
“Let us not grow weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” — Galatians 6:9
May God bless you and keep you, and may His peace and presence go before you in everything ahead. We are better because of your time with us—and that will never change. 🤍
