A nice turnout--70-80 people--for last night's special event about the Toforest Johnson case. Many thanks to Greater Birmingham Ministries, Muffin Terry, and producer Beth Shelburne for their presentation about Toforest's wrongful arrest, conviction, and death sentence for a murder he did not commit.

SHPC is partnering with Greater Birmingham Ministries for a special event Monday evening, August 31 at 6:30 p.m., presenting the case of a man so wrongfully convicted of murder, it boggles the mind. Beth Shelburne, host of the "Earwitness" podcast, will speak, along with Akeriya Terry, daughter of death row inmate Toforest Johnson. The event is free and open to the public. Vacation Bible School 2026 is in the books! We were pleased to have some parents of our campers come and join us for the closing and to learn one of our favorite VBS songs. We can't wait till next year!
