Mission Friends is the WMU missions organization for preschoolers (birth through kindergarten). We want to guard our children’s safety.

Playtime is more than just fun! As preschoolers learn to play with one another, they’re also developing social and emotional skills that can benefit them for years to come. These skills help preschoolers build healthy relationships and can even help guard against loneliness as they grow. 💛

Today is Cooperative Program Sunday! 🙌

It’s October! 🌻🍂

This month, preschoolers are learning about Jason and Lizzy Davis who serve as missionaries in Rome, Italy.

The Davises are working to start Italian-speaking churches, and they enjoy getting to know locals and sharing the gospel with them.

🙏 Pray that more people in Rome would come to know and follow Jesus, and for more Christian churches in the city.

Did you know that Mission Friends used to be called Sunbeams? 🌞

Our September missionary Lydia Greear was a Sunbeam when she was a little girl. She learned about missionaries. She grew up to be a missionary who tells people about Jesus. Now we call her Chaplain Greear!

✨ For fun, teach Mission Friends "God Gives Us Sunshine," found on page 12 of Sing to the Tune, using the following lyrics:

"God gives us sunshine, bright yellow sunshine.

We can be sunbeams and shine bright too!

We can tell others that we love Jesus.

Thank You, God, I am a sunbeam for You!"

🎶 Singing and music are excellent for teaching preschoolers about meaningful topics in ways they can more easily remember and understand. Sing to the Tune matches simple lyrics with well-known tunes so you can lead your preschoolers in singing these songs together!

Caring well for our Mission Friends means creating a place where preschoolers can learn, grow, and feel safe. 💛

An important part of that responsibility is knowing how to help protect children from sexual abuse, physical abuse, and neglect. While these can be difficult topics to address, being informed and prepared helps us care well for the preschoolers God has entrusted to us.
