☀️📚 Missed Summer School: Physical Ed? 📚☀️

Last Sunday, Pastor Nick reminded us that God cares about more than just our souls. He cares about our whole selves.

Our bodies are not meant to be neglected or idolized. They're meant to be stewarded. As followers of Christ, caring for our physical health can be an act of worship because our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit.

A few memorable reminders from the message:

💪 Physical fitness is a spiritual discipline.

🥗 We honor God through how we care for our bodies.

😴 Rest is not laziness. Rest is trust in God.

🙏 Worship isn't just something we do with our hearts. We bring our whole selves into the presence of God.

❤️ "You were bought with a price." Because we belong to Jesus, every day is an opportunity to honor Him with our lives.

Whether it's taking a walk, getting some much-needed rest, making a healthier choice, or gathering with God's people in worship, ask yourself: How will you honor God with your body this week?

☀️📚 Summer School is officially in session! ☀️📚

Yesterday, Pastor Nick kicked off our new sermon series with a lesson in Sociology from Ephesians 4:1-6. We talked about something our world desperately needs and often misunderstands... biblical unity.

A united church reflects the heart of a united God.

But Scripture reminds us that truth and righteousness must come before unity. Biblical unity is not built on compromise, avoiding hard conversations, or lowering convictions. It is built on being rooted in Christ and grounded in His truth.

Unity takes effort.

It takes humility, patience, grace, and intentionality in the way we treat one another. And when the Church lives this out well, we become a testimony to an already divided world.

The world doesn’t need another place of division. It needs churches boldly standing in truth while walking together in Christ. 🤍

Women’s Summer Bible Study Starts June 9!

Join us Tuesday mornings from 10:00-11:30 AM in the Fireside Room as we walk through Before Amen by Max Lucado together.

Prayer doesn’t have to be complicated. Through this study, we’ll explore simple, honest conversations with God and be reminded that He hears us right where we are.

What a special Sunday at Mountain Chapel! 🌍❤️

We were honored to welcome Bishop Eduard Khegay, Pastor Irina Margulis, and Pastor Dmitrii Lysin as they joined us for worship, a combined Sunday School class, and fellowship throughout the day.

Bishop Eduard translated for Pastor Irina as they shared about ministry and the incredible work happening through our brothers and sisters in Christ across Eurasia and Central Asia. Pastor Dmitrii serves as Senior Pastor of the Eastern Russia and Central Asia Conference, and we are grateful for the partnership in ministry between our North Alabama Conference of the Global Methodist Church and churches around the world.

During their visit to Birmingham, they also had the opportunity to experience local ministries making a difference in our community, including Bundles of Hope and Grace Klein.

Thank you for reminding us that the Church is bigger than one building, one city, or even one country. We are better together! ✝️
