8 Additional Priorities for BCCC English
1. We depend on God. We are completely and happily dependent on God for spiritual growth and multiplication.
2. We are God-centered. Our gatherings are Christ-exalting, gospel-rich, Bible-saturated, song-filled, and authentic through and through.
3. We are a disciple factory. We host small groups with consistent, passionate leadership. Our small groups are the context for memory-making, friendship-building, healing, and spiritual growth. Week after week, year after year, our small group leaders are the “Secret Sauce” of BCCC English.
4. We champion family units. We embrace God’s beautiful design for manhood and womanhood. Furthermore, we commit to a hand-in-hand partnership with parents, recognizing their God-given role as each child’s top influence. Our goal with each generation of boys and girls is to work alongside parents to instill a complete Christian worldview and a genuine love for Jesus.
5. We are one big family. With the unique nature of a two-language congregation, we strive for close church unity and meaningful, inter-generational connections.
6. We welcome graciously. The cross fuels our hospitality and ethnic harmony.
7. We make war. We believe that spiritual warfare, Heaven, and Hell are real, and we work urgently to spite the already-doomed devil and glorify God. We influence the culture of Birmingham, attack sin, and treasure Jesus Christ.
8. We battle on the front-lines. We are currently working to send people from within to become seminary students, pastors, deacons, and missionaries around the world.
