I know you all know this but please, please, please vote. Even though we most likely don’t have statewide races we can win we have local ones that are crucial. Plus it’s so important to be counted in order to encourage good candidates to run next time.
If there is not a Democratic candidate, I will leave it up to you whether you’d like to vote for the Libertarian as a protest vote or simply not vote - unless, of course, you think the Republican is doing/will do a good job.

Local JeffCo 1. Yes
Amendment 1 greatly increases judges' discretion to deny bail to defendants accused of certain felonies, opening the door to discriminating against accused but not convicted individuals based on race, religion, or any other reason. In addition, Amendment 1 probably will result in violations of an accused's right to bail found in the Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution, meaning its passage may lead to lots of lawsuits.
Amendment 3 adds notification requirements before the governor can commute or reprieve a death sentence (which no governor has done for decades). Because pending ex*****ons already receive so much press, the practical result is that Amendment 3 sets up hurdles that make impossible a governor’s postponing an ex*****on based on last minute information.
Amendment 4 requires any change in election law passed during a year with a general election to take effect at least six months before the election. In other words, if any emergency arises (such as a pandemic, hurricane or foreign invasion) after early June in an election year, the governor, the legislature and the Secretary of State cannot respond with any law making sure Alabama citizens can vote.
