May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚
Life doesn’t always feel light and for many, the weight of anxiety, depression, grief, or burnout is very real. As a church, we believe faith doesn’t mean pretending everything is okay. It means bringing the hard things into the light and walking through them together.
If you’re struggling, you are not alone. And you don’t have to carry it quietly.
We want to be a place where it’s safe to talk, safe to ask for help, and safe to not have all the answers. Whether it’s through prayer, conversation, or reaching out for additional support, taking that next step matters.
Our partners in the LCMC have put together some helpful resources for those navigating mental health or supporting someone who is. You can find them here:

And if someone around you is hurting, sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is simply show up, listen, and remind them they’re not alone too.
Let’s choose kindness, listen well, and remind each other we’re never alone. 💚
As the church, we are called to reflect the heart of Jesus. But sometimes, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, or other mental health conditions can interfere with our ability to effectively serve others. Or, we encounter somebody else experiencing one of these conditions, and it makes us feel uncomfortable because we don't fully understand how to help.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and this week on the blog, we're sharing resources for anyone who might need help figuring out when and how to seek treatment, learning more about what you or a loved one may be experiencing, or challenging the stigma that often gets placed on people or things we don't understand.
