🌿 Tuesday, June 9 | Roots

A tree that survives a storm does not do it with its branches.

It does it with its roots.

The branches bend. They whip and crack and sometimes break entirely. But if the roots go deep enough β€” if they have pushed down into solid ground over enough years β€” the tree stands. Not because the storm was not real. Because the foundation was deeper than the storm could reach.

"Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit." β€” Jeremiah 17:7-8

No worries in a year of drought. Not because the drought is not real β€” but because the roots reach something the drought cannot touch.

How deep are your roots right now? πŸ™

πŸ’¬ What is one spiritual practice that has kept you rooted during a hard season? Share it β€” someone needs to hear it today.

β˜€οΈ Monday, June 8 | Still Here

You made it to another Monday.

That might sound like a small thing. It is not.

Every Monday morning is evidence of a faithfulness that has nothing to do with how well last week went. The alarm went off. The breath is in your lungs and the day is in front of you. None of that happened by accident and none of it was guaranteed β€” it was given. Again. By a God who has not once stopped being faithful to you even on the weeks you forgot to notice.

The question is never whether God showed up last week. He always does. The question is whether we were paying attention.

"This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." β€” Psalm 118:24

This specific Monday. This exact morning. Made by God and handed to you as a gift.

Make something of it. πŸ™

🏑✝️ HOMECOMING β€” Sunday, June 14th!

There is something special about Homecoming Sunday.

It is the day the family comes back together β€” old friends, familiar faces, people who shaped this church and carried it in their hearts long after life took them down different roads. It is the day the pews fill up a little fuller, the worship runs a little deeper, and the feeling in the room reminds you exactly why this place matters.

We would love for you to be part of it this year.

β˜€οΈ Sunday, June 7 | Good Morning, Birchwood

Good morning, Birchwood! β˜€οΈ

It is the first Sunday of June and the doors of New Liberty Baptist Church are wide open.

We want to ask you something this morning β€” not a complicated question, just an honest one.

When is the last time you walked out of a place feeling genuinely lighter than when you walked in? Not distracted. Not entertained. Actually lighter β€” like something you had been carrying so long you forgot it was there finally got set down.

That happens here. Not every Sunday for every person. But often enough, and for enough people, that we have stopped being surprised by it.

It happens when broken people gather around the truth of a God who loves them. When the Word lands in exactly the place it was needed. When someone puts their hand on your shoulder and prays and you realize you have not felt that kind of care in longer than you want to admit.

That is what church actually is. Not a performance or an obligation. A place where the weight gets lighter.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." β€” Matthew 11:28

Come this morning. Leave lighter. πŸ™

🌸 Saturday, June 6 | Still Room

Tomorrow morning New Liberty Baptist Church opens its doors for another Sunday.

And we want to speak directly to someone tonight.

You have been thinking about coming for a while now. Something keeps bringing you back to the idea β€” a post you scrolled past, a friend who mentioned it, something quieter than either of those that you cannot quite explain. You brush it off. You tell yourself next week, or when things settle down, or when you feel more ready.

Here is what we want you to know.

Ready is not a requirement. You do not need to have anything sorted out before you walk through the door. And next week is just tonight's version of the same excuse that kept you away last week.

Tomorrow is not asking you to have anything figured out. It is just asking you to show up.

"The Spirit and the bride say, 'Come!' And let the one who hears say, 'Come!' Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life." β€” Revelation 22:17

Come. Just come.

There is still room. There is always room. And there is a seat with your name on it tomorrow morning. πŸ™

🌱 Friday, June 5 | Made It Again

Another week done.

And before the weekend takes over β€” sixty seconds. That is all we are asking.

Sixty seconds to look back at this week and find the grace in it. Not the version you would post about. The real grace β€” the kind that showed up quietly, without announcement, in the middle of an ordinary Tuesday or a hard Thursday. The phone call that came at exactly the right moment. The words someone said that landed in exactly the right place. The moment you were sure you did not have what it was going to take β€” and then somehow you did.

That was not coincidence. That was a Father who pays attention.

"The Lord is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made." β€” Psalm 145:9

All. Not just the people who had a good week. Not just the ones whose prayers all got answered the way they hoped. All of them. Every single one. Including you β€” especially on the weeks that felt like anything but grace.

Sixty seconds. Find the grace. Say thank you. Then go enjoy your weekend. 🀍

πŸ’¬ Name one moment from this week where you saw God show up. We want to celebrate it with you.
πŸ” Share this and give someone else a reason to pause before the weekend begins.

πŸ“– Thursday, June 4 | Scripture Spotlight

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." β€” Isaiah 43:1-2

Through the waters. Through the rivers. Through the fire.

Not around them. Not instead of them. Through.

God does not promise His people a life without difficulty. He never has. What He promises is something far more valuable than an easy road β€” He promises His presence on the hard one. The assurance that whatever you are walking through right now, you are not walking through it alone. That the waters will not sweep you away. That the fire will not consume you.

And then β€” before any of that β€” He says something that ought to stop us cold.

I have called you by name.

Not "I know of you." Not "I am aware of your situation." By name. The God who spoke the universe into existence knows your specific name and has called it. You are not a face in a crowd to Him. You are not an anonymous prayer request lost somewhere in the noise. You are known β€” fully, personally, and in a way that nothing can undo.

You are His. That changes everything about the waters and the fire. πŸ™

πŸ’¬ What is one "through" season God has carried you through that you are grateful for today? Share it β€” your testimony might be exactly what someone else needs to hear.
πŸ” Share this with someone who is in the middle of the fire right now.

πŸ™ Wednesday, June 3 | Midweek Prayer

Halfway through the first week of June.

Some of you stepped into this month with fresh hope and it is holding. Others of you brought something heavy into June that did not care what month it was β€” and it is still sitting on your chest this Wednesday morning.

Either way β€” this post is for you.

Because here is something we believe with everything in us: there is not a single thing you are carrying right now that is too heavy, too complicated, or too far gone for God to handle. The situation that feels most impossible to you is not even a difficult problem for Him.

He is not overwhelmed by what overwhelms you.

"Is anything too hard for the Lord?" β€” Genesis 18:14

That is not a rhetorical question. It is an invitation to bring whatever you have been calling impossible and lay it at the feet of the One for whom nothing is.

πŸ’¬ Leave your prayer request in the comments below. Every single one will be lifted up by name. Nothing is too heavy. Nothing is too far gone.

Need privacy? Send us a direct message. That is what this family is for. 🀍

🌿 Tuesday, June 2 | The Person Right In Front of You

Somebody crossed your path yesterday and needed something you had to give.

Maybe you gave it. Maybe the day was moving too fast and you were already three steps ahead of the moment before it even registered. That is how most of us move through most of our days.

Today is another chance.

The coworker who seems off but has not said why. The cashier who looks like they have been on their feet for nine hours and nobody has spoken a kind word to them all day. The neighbor you wave at but have never actually stopped to talk to. The friend you keep meaning to check in on but the week keeps getting in the way.

They are not interruptions to your day. They are the point of it.

"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people." β€” Galatians 6:10

As we have opportunity. The opportunities are already there β€” they are built into the ordinary fabric of the day. The question is whether we are paying enough attention to see them.

Pay attention today. πŸ™

πŸ’¬ Tell us about a time a stranger's small act of kindness changed your day. Let's fill this space with those stories.
πŸ” Share this and send someone into their Tuesday with their eyes a little more open.
