The Most Reverend Douglas J. Lucia announces the first pastoral assignment for our newly ordained priest.

Rev. Cornelius P. Deep is appointed Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, St. Ambrose Church, St. Anthony of Padua Church, and St. Joseph Church in Endicott, New York, as well as Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Vestal, New York, effective July 1, 2026.

Ordination weekend begins tomorrow with a special Holy Hour for Vocations, offered for the intention of Rev. Mr. Cornelius Deep at 5:30 PM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Please join us on the Vigil of the Rite of Ordination to the Sacred Priesthood as we ask "the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest." 🙏

Let us pray for Leo XIV, our Pope.

May the Lord preserve him, and give him life, and make him blessed upon the earth, and deliver him not up to the will of his enemies.

Our Father. Hail Mary.

O God, shepherd and ruler of all the faithful,
look favorably on your servant Leo XIV,
whom you have set at the head of your Church as her shepherd;
grant, we pray, that by word and example

he may be of service to those over whom he presides
so that, together with the flock entrusted to his care,
he may come to everlasting life.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
