Yesterday, Bishop Kihneman began his school visits for the new school year at Resurrection Catholic High School in Pascagoula. He celebrated Mass and spent time with students alongside our Office of Education, Evangelization, Youth Ministry, and Faith Formation.

We continue to pray for the students, faculty, and staff as they continue another year of learning, growing, and being disciples of Christ.

After many years of ministry to the deaf community of South Mississippi, Greg Crapo has retired from his role as Director of the de l'Epee Deaf Center Ministry for the Diocese of Biloxi.

Please join us in thanking Greg for his commitment to the Church, as well as, to the deaf community of South Mississippi. May God continue to bless him with good health, joy, and peace as he begins his journey into retirement.

As the ministry moves forward, Director of Catholic Charities, Jennifer Williams is serving as Interim Director of the de l’Epee Deaf Center Ministry. As we prepare to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Diocese of Biloxi in 2027, we continue to spend this year journeying together in a Year of Mercy, looking toward the love and mercy of Christ as we give thanks for five decades of faith.

Save the Date! Join us on Saturday, April 3, 2027, during Divine Mercy Sunday weekend, for our 50th Anniversary Celebration Mass at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Convention Center.

Eucharistic Adoration: 9:00 a.m.
Holy Mass: 10:30 a.m.

If you are unable to join us in person, the Mass will be livestreamed so you can celebrate with us wherever you are.

Please join me in praying for our Catholic Schools Campus Ministry students. I was able to join them as they gathered for a retreat yesterday with our Diocesan Youth Office.

May they encounter Christ in a deeper way and be inspired to live each day as intentional disciples, sharing His love with joy and courage.
