Last night’s Blessing of the Animals was truly a special time together. A celebration of creation, compassion, and community.

We were blessed to welcome over 30 beloved pets to the lawn of Leggett Memorial UMC. From wagging tails to curious whiskers, the Spirit was clearly present!

Inspired by the legacy of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals, we gathered not only to bless our furry companions, but to acknowledge the deep bond we share with all of God’s creatures.

Thank you to everyone who helped organize, participated, and came to share in this joyful evening. Whether you brought your pet or their picture, your presence made the evening whole and the donations to the Humane Society of South Mississippi will bless animals in need.

What an amazing morning at our Easter Egg Hunt! The joy, the laughter, the baskets full of eggs—it was truly a day to remember. 💛

A very special THANK YOU to Emerald Acres Small Animal Petting Farm for bringing so much happiness and excitement to the kids (and adults too!). Your furry friends were a huge hit! 🐐🐰🐓

To everyone who came out, helped, and celebrated with us - thank you for making this such a beautiful community moment. 💐 We can’t wait to do it again next year!

Join Us for Ash Wednesday at Leggett UMC

As we enter the sacred season of Lent, we invite you to join us for our Ash Wednesday service on March 5th at 6:30 PM. This special time of worship marks the beginning of our journey toward Easter, a season of reflection, repentance, and renewal.

During the service, we will receive the imposition of ashes as a sign of our humility and devotion to God. Let’s come together in prayer, worship, and preparation for the hope of resurrection.
