Most Catholics know about the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

But many don't realize that this coming week gives us a rare opportunity to reflect on all three hearts of the Holy Family together.

June 12 ❤️ Sacred Heart of Jesus
June 13 🤍 Immaculate Heart of Mary
June 17 💛 Chaste Heart of St. Joseph

When I look at these three devotions, I see three things the world desperately needs right now.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus reminds us that God's mercy is bigger than our sins. Christ doesn't stop loving people because they fail. He calls them to repentance and offers them the grace to begin again.

The Immaculate Heart of Mary reminds us what trust looks like. Mary did not always understand everything God was doing, but she remained faithful. She teaches us to keep saying yes to God even when life is painful or confusing.

Then there is St. Joseph.

His heart teaches something our culture often overlooks: holiness does not require attention. Joseph never recorded a single word in Scripture, yet God entrusted him with protecting Jesus and Mary. His life shows us that faithfulness matters more than recognition.

Maybe that's why these three devotions fit together so well.

Jesus teaches us mercy.
Mary teaches us trust.
Joseph teaches us faithfulness.

And honestly, most of us need all three.

As these feast days approach, take a moment to ask yourself where you need to grow most. Do you need more trust? More mercy? More faithfulness?

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.
Most Chaste Heart of St. Joseph, protect us.

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I will begin this day.

I thank you, Lord, for having preserved me during the night. I will do my best to make all I do today pleasing to You and in accordance with Your will. My dear Mother Mary, watch over me this day. My Guardian Angel, take care of me. St. Joseph and all you saints of God, pray for me.

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for all the poor souls in purgatory, for the intentions of all my relatives and friends, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father.

I wish to gain all the indulgences attached to the prayers I shall say and the good works I shall perform this day. Amen.

Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ Corpus Christi
“not as common bread & drink do we receive these; but as Jesus Christ our Saviour having been made flesh by the Word of God had both flesh & blood for our salvation, so likewise have we been taught that the food which is blessed by the prayer of His word … is the flesh and blood of that Jesus who was made flesh.” – St. Justin Martyr

The Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.

Saint Boniface
675-754
Feast Day: June 5
Patronage: Brewers, Fulda, Germany, World Youth Day
Saint Boniface was an English Benedictine monk known as the “Apostle of Germany” for evangelizing and reforming the Germanic church. He was a respected scholar, teacher, and priest, (then bishop) that was called to be a missionary. To convert the superstitious German pagans he cut down the giant oak tree dedicated to the god Thor, as a show of power of the true God, Christ. Boniface believed in Christian orthodoxy and fidelity to the Pope. He died, with 53 companions, a martyr.

📖 Do's and Don'ts Before Holy Mass

Many Catholics prepare for work, school, and special occasions—but how often do we prepare our hearts before meeting the Lord in the Holy Mass?

Here are some important reminders:

✅ DO:
• Arrive early and prepare yourself in prayer.
• Silence your cellphone.
• Dress modestly and respectfully.
• Read the Mass readings beforehand if possible.
• Offer your intentions to God before Mass begins.

❌ DON'T:
• Arrive habitually late without a valid reason.
• Engage in loud conversations inside the church.
• Use your phone for non-religious purposes.
• Distract others during prayer.
• Treat the church like a social gathering place.

🙏 Remember:
The Holy Mass is not just another event on our calendar. It is our encounter with Jesus Christ in Word and Sacrament. Preparing well before Mass helps us receive God's graces more fully.
