Good morning Keesler,
As many of you are aware, (I can't believe I'm saying this, AGAIN!!!) there is ANOTHER tropical system in the Gulf. (I heard someone say it was the 7th time this year we have been in the "cone of uncertainty"). In times like these I always try to follow Jesus' example. When faced with a storm that was sinking His boat, He was resting. Why?! He was perfectly aware of the Love of His Father and "perfect Love casts out fear." The Father's Love has not changed. He has the same amount of Love towards us even today. In this posture of rest motivated by perfect Love, Jesus stood up and rebuked the storm and said, "PEACE, be STILL!"
What does rebuke mean? - to tax with fault, rate, chide
What does that mean? It means Jesus talked to that thing like a disobedient child who was throwing a temper tantrum. He had created every drop of water and every molecule of air and here they are acting like a bunch of fools trying to drown His friends. Eh-Eh! Not today!
So, to this storm I say, EH-EH!!! How dare you! Wind and waves, PEACE!!! Be STILL!!! in Jesus' Name!!! I also speak PEACE!!! to the people of this area, that they would REST in His Love that casts out fear, in Jesus' Name!!! Amen, thank you Daddy for the kingdom coming to this area right NOW!!!
My name is Wesley Buchta, by the way. I'm just a regular dude who loves Jesus and people. I created this prayer page back in April to serve the Keesler AFB community.
So if you are feeling overwhelmed, reach out with any prayer needs you may have. I would be honored to pray with you.
Also, if you wish to stay anonymous, I have a prayer box in our front yard (805 Vandenberg Dr. in Bayridge) with a drop slot under the roof. There is even pen and paper inside if you need it.
Blessings!
