THE DRUMS OF GURU RINPOCHE

There are drums that exist not for entertainment, but to awaken compassion within every human heart.

🥁 Today, at Ogyen Choeling Monastery by Baldwin Lake, our community was deeply honored to welcome Lama Lhanang Rinpoche, who traveled from San Diego to offer blessings to the local community during the monastery’s Community Drum Circle and World Peace Prayer Gathering.

In the sacred presence of the magnificent Guru Rinpoche statue and the holy Stupa, both carrying the blessings of Tibet, participants joined together in the rhythm of the drums to pray for WORLD PEACE.
Each beat of the drum became a prayer.
�Each vibration of sound carried healing energy.�Each heart present planted a seed of love, compassion, and awakening.

Our world does not simply need louder voices; it needs more hearts willing to listen deeply to one another.

May all beings be happy and free from suffering.
�May war, hatred, and division be transformed into understanding and compassion.
�May peace begin within each of us and radiate outward to embrace the whole world.

HÃY NOI THEO CÁC BẬC THÁNH TRONG QUÁ KHỨ

Trong những hoàn cảnh thuận lợi, chúng ta nên ước nguyện:

“Cầu mong mọi sự thịnh vượng tôi đang hưởng sẽ được phân phát cho tất cả chúng sinh,

cầu mong nó được cúng dường cho Guru Rinpoche,

và cầu mong bản thân tôi hài lòng với việc chỉ có vừa đủ thực phẩm và y phục.”

Để bản thân tồn tại, thực ra chúng ta chỉ cần đủ quần áo để che chở ta đối với các môi trường và chỉ cần có đủ thực phẩm để duy trì đời sống.

Như các bậc thánh trong quá khứ, chúng ta nên vừa lòng với những nơi cư trú như các hang núi và các ẩn thất cô tịch.

FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE OF THE HOLY MASTERS OF THE PAST

In times of favorable circumstances, we should make the aspiration:

“May all the prosperity and abundance I am enjoying be shared with all sentient beings.

May it be offered to Guru Rinpoche.

And may I myself remain content with having only enough food and clothing.”

In truth, for this body to survive, we only need sufficient clothing to protect us from the elements, and enough food to sustain our life.

Like the holy masters of the past, we should learn to be content with simple dwellings such as mountain caves and solitary retreat hermitages.

COMMUNITY DRUM CIRCLE — BIG BEAR CITY

🌹Dear all,

As you know, Guru Rinpoche Temple usually organizes the Drum Circle ⭕️ once a month, especially at the full moon 🌕. This month, we would like to have an extra one as a Farewell Party to sister Leah Morris.

Actually, her hometown is in Chicago, but she came to Big Bear to work. Her job is flying drones to inspect the powerlines with thermal imaging. Check for hot spots, broken hardware and decay to prevent fires 🔥

We are so fortunate that my Angel sister Milagros will also come to lead the Drum Circle this time.

Even just one step around the stupa or Guru’s Statue with devotion is enough to plant the seed of enlightenment.

Want to deepen your spiritual journey?

Don’t leave without circumambulating the Peace Stupa and Sacred Statue at least 3 times clockwise. In the Vajrayana scriptures, circling relics and enlightened forms generates immeasurable merit – especially when infused with intention and prayer.

Đừng rời đi mà chưa nhiễu quanh Bảo Tháp Hòa Bình và Tôn Tượng Thiêng tại Tu Viện Liên Hoa Sanh ít nhất 3 vòng theo chiều kim đồng hồ. Trong kinh điển Kim Cang thừa, việc đi nhiễu quanh xá lợi và các biểu tượng giác ngộ sẽ tạo ra công đức vô lượng — đặc biệt khi được thấm đẫm bằng tâm nguyện và lời cầu nguyện.

With deep reverence, I prostrate before the source of all enlightened activity, Guru Padmasambhava!

Sunday April 26, 2026, the 10th day of the Tibetan lunar calendar, is the sacred day of Guru Rinpoche,
when all virtuous and non-virtuous actions are multiplied manyfold.

🙏 Let us join together in engaging in virtuous activities such as:

. Observe the precepts
• Mantra recitation
• Meditation
• Offerings
• Animal liberation (life release)
• Praises to Guru Rinpoche

Guru Rinpoche Buddha is the embodiment of boundless compassion, the union of all Buddhas.
We earnestly pray that You pacify and transform all outer, inner, and secret obstacles of all sentient beings, that You swiftly soothe all suffering, curses, spirits, and negative forces, and establish all beings in Your awakened state.

🙏 May the True Dharma of the Three Vehicles spread throughout the three realms.
🙏 May all beings experience auspiciousness and well-being.

MÙNG 8 LỊCH TẠNG – NGÀY VÍA ĐỨC PHẬT DƯỢC SƯ
Ngày công đức tăng trưởng – ngày chữa lành thân tâm

Hôm nay, ngày mùng 8 theo Lịch Tạng, ngày vía của Đức Phật Dược Sư, bậc Đại Y Vương của tất cả thế gian và xuất thế gian.

Trong truyền thống Mật thừa Tây Tạng, nói đến Y Đạo không thể không nhắc đến 🙏 Yuthok Yonten Gonpo 🙏, vị Thánh Y, bậc y vương của nhân gian.

Ngài dạy một điều cốt tuỷ:

Chữa bệnh không chỉ là trị thân, mà là đánh thức Bồ-đề tâm.
Chữa bệnh không rời tịnh hoá nghiệp và con đường giác ngộ.
Và đích đến tối hậu… là Pháp Thân vô bệnh – nơi mà bệnh khổ trở thành cánh cửa để thấy tánh.

Y học của Ngài không dừng ở thuốc men, mà là con đường thực dụng để tu tập và thành tựu Pháp Dược Sư. Cuối đời, sau khi truyền dạy trọn vẹn, Ngài viên tịch trong thiền định, thân không hoại diệt mà hoá thành ánh sáng cầu vồng ngũ sắc, tan vào hư không, biểu hiện của sự giải thoát viên mãn.

Ngày lành thù thắng này 🙏 Nguyện nương nơi thần lực của Đức Phật Dược Sư và Thánh Sư Yuthok Yonten Gonpo, cho tất cả những ai nghe danh, thấy hình, khởi tâm lành… đều được thân tâm an lạc, Bồ-đề tâm bất thoái chuyển và mãi tăng trưởng, và sớm thành tựu con đường Bồ Tát hạnh lợi ích vô lượng chúng sanh.
