Η Κυριακή των Αγίων Πάντων

είναι η αμέσως επόμενη Κυριακή μετά την Πεντηκοστή. Γιατί όμως εορτάζονται μια σειρά από πολύ σημαντικούς Αγίους εκείνη την ημέρα;

All Saints' Sunday

Is the Sunday immediately following Pentecost. But why are a number of very important Saints celebrated that day?

Because the resurrection of Christ, the descent of the Holy Spirit and the founding of the Church brought to the world the possibility of man's union with God, the Church established that all the Saints of all ages should be celebrated in a common feast, on the Sunday immediately following after the feasts of Pentecost and the Holy Spirit.

This is a mobile holiday that "falls" 56 days right after Easter. On that day we celebrate those who have been sanctified by the Holy Spirit, the Fathers and Patriarchs, the Prophets and Holy Apostles, the Martyrs and Hierarchs, the Hieromartyrs and Holy Martyrs, the Holy and Righteous and in general the Holy Women and the rest of the saints.

By the grace of God, our parish continues to move forward in the rebuilding of our holy temple. We are grateful to share these updated renderings of the proposed church design, which reflect the many hours of prayer, planning, and labor that have brought us to this point.

As we progress, we are reminded of the prayer offered by the Church at the beginning of every sacred building project:

"Bless the work of Thy servants who desire to erect a house unto Thy Name."

The building of a church is more than a construction project. It is the creation of a place where future generations will be baptized into Christ, where marriages will be blessed, where prayers will ascend before God, and where the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated for years to come.

For this reason, the Orthodox Church has always held in special remembrance:

"The founders, benefactors, and beautifiers of this holy temple."

Throughout our history, those who contributed their resources, skills, labor, and prayers toward the building of God's house were remembered not only with gratitude, but in the Church's worship itself.

As this project continues to take shape, there are many ways to participate. Some offer financial support. Others contribute professional expertise, building materials, labor, or simply their prayers. Every offering, whether great or small, becomes part of the life of this future temple.

We ask your continued prayers for our parish, our building committee, and all those laboring to make this vision a reality.
May God bless all who have contributed thus far, and may He bring this work to completion for the glory of His Holy Name.

Beloved concelebrants and faithful Christians,
St. Xenia Camp Leadership continues to work diligently to keep the cost of camper registration
affordable to all. With roughly $45,000 in projected costs, and given the financial hardships of
so many, I hope that those who are able will consider financially supporting the mission of the
camp in one of the following ways.
In Christ,
+M Demetrius
___________________________________________________________________________

Sponsor a camper- help a parish or family give their youth a unique Orthodox experience, by
supporting the camper scholarship fund.

$395 sends a camper who may otherwise be unable to attend.
*Last year was a record year for sponsorship requests, so help is needed.

Sponsor a counselor- many of our young leaders volunteering as counselors are in need of
assistance with transportation costs.

$100 provides 1 counselor stipend, supporting a week of service to our youth.

Set the table- help our kitchen fuel the camp with fasting feasts for all ages. With 175-200
attendees expected, that’s a lot of mouths to feed!

$100 feeds a camper or counselor for the week!

Sponsor a meal in memory of a loved one, remembrance of a patron saint or saint
celebrated during camp week (August 3-9; 16-22 N.S.), or for the feast of the
Transfiguration of our Savior.
(Contact the directors at [email protected] to discuss what this could involve)

Become a benefactor of St. Xenia Camp

Every $25 or $50 donation helps support the vast array of activities, training, and
equipment that goes into running this all-volunteer ministry event.
