Good morning,

Brother Ben’s request and prayer:
Revival doesn’t begin with a tent, building, a choir, or a preacher — it begins with a call, and we must be carrying that call with clarity and conviction.

A Revival Welcome on June 14, 2026, Sunday Morning to Enon Chapel Missionary Church.
To our church family — welcome home. This revival begins with you. You are the ones who have prayed, served, given and stood faithful. And today, we stand together asking what Paul asked in 2 Thessalonians 3:1 — “Brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified.” That is our heartbeat this week: Lord, let Your Word run freely among us. To our guests, friends, neighbors, and every soul God has drawn here — welcome. We are honored you’re with us. We need you. Revival is not a spectator's event; it is a family effort, a community effort, a Kingdom effort. Your presence strengthens the work God is doing in this house.
Uniting the Church for the Work Ahead: Philippians 2:2 calls us to “be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.” That’s the spirit we choose today — unity, humility, and one purpose: to lift up Jesus Christ so He can draw all men unto Himself. Ephesians 4:22 “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” reminds us to put off the old man and put on the new man. Revival is not about stirring emotions — it’s about changing lives, laying down what needs to die, and rising into what God is calling us to be. And a favorite — Galatians 6:9 — gives us our marching orders: “Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Church, this is our season. This is our due time. This is our moment to sow, to serve, to pray, to believe and to expect a harvest.
So today Enon Chapel opens its hearts & doors with: Welcome, members. Welcome, guests. Welcome, seekers. Welcome, Pastor and Preachers. Let’s join hands, join hearts, and join faith — because God is ready to move, and we are ready to receive. Let the Word run freely. Let the Church stand united. Let the Spirit renew us. And let revival begin.
God bless all, Brother Ben Matthews.

Good Morning, Brother Ben’s message:
100 Percent Prepared: “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. 28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.” (Ezekiel 36:26-28)
What God revealed through Ezekiel still speaks today — not because Ezekiel was talking to us, but because God’s character and ways do not change. Who Ezekiel Was — the Man, the Calling, the Mission. He was taken in (597 BC), along with King Jehoiachin. He preached from Babylon, not Jerusalem. Ezekiel 36 — God is speaking to Israel, about Israel, concerning their land, their uncleanness, and their future restoration. Do some Say Ezekiel Was Talking to Us? Yes
Because Ezekiel contains timeless Principles about God’s holiness, Prophecies that point toward the future kingdom, Pictures of spiritual renewal (like the new heart in 36:26) Patterns of how God deals with sin.
Would it be correct for me to say that everything in the KJV Bible OT is referring to us today? And the answer is no. But I would be correct to say the Old Testament was written for us, even though it was not written to us.
Paul makes this distinction beautifully: “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”(Romans 15:4) And again: "Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples…” (1 Corinthians 10:11) But the commands, covenants, judgments, and promises were given to Israel, not to us.
As parents and grandparents, we cannot foresee all the circumstances our children will face. If we could, we would be tempted to focus on and prepare them for those situations. Since we cannot see the future, our best investment is helping develop the person our child is becoming. For example, if a child develops into a person who is compassionate and courageous, he or she will bring these characteristics into every circumstance he or she encounters.
Jesus Christ was clear in His invitation to us. While He does not promise health, wealth, or ease, He has promised to transform us from the inside out. God is intensely interested in the person we are becoming. God equips us for the future by transforming who we are. His Word brings clarity, wisdom, and guidance. While God is the One who transforms, we can embrace the process through setting aside time to reflect upon His Word. While our outward circumstances may not change, our trusting and transformed heart will find hope in Him. My heart is fixed, thank you Lord.
God Bless all, Brother Ben Matthews

Devotion May, 27, 2026

Good morning: Brother Ben’s message:
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.” (James 4:7–8)
A Straight Talk Moment—James 4 is written to people who were: Fighting, Struggling, Double‑minded, Pulled by the world, Needing grace. Sounds like every jail pod, every rehab room, every church pew. James doesn’t waste time — he gives three commands that change a life: Submit. Resist. Draw near.
SUBMIT YOURSELVES TO GOD: Saved people can fully submit because they have the Holy Spirit. They have a new heart. They belong to God. Submission is not weakness — it is alignment. Unsaved people can submit only enough to repent. They cannot submit spiritually, but they can: Humble themselves, Admit their need, Turn toward God with complete faith, Respond to conviction. Submission is the doorway to salvation. How To for the men & women: Submission is not God taking your freedom — it’s God giving you freedom from what was destroying you.
RESIST THE DEVIL: James gives a promise: “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Saved people resist with power. They resist through: The Word, The Spirit, Prayer, Authority in Christ. The devil doesn’t flee from you — he flees from Christ in you. Unsaved people resist only outwardly. They can: Avoid trouble, Say no to temptation, Change habits but they cannot win spiritually because: They are still blinded, They have no armor, They are still in the devil’s. You can’t fight a spiritual enemy with natural strength. You need God’s power.
DRAW NIGH TO GOD: James gives another promise: “Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.”
Saved people can feel when fellowship is broken. Not salvation — fellowship. God never leaves, but: The Spirit can be grieved, Prayers can be hindered, Joy can be lost. They feel distance, but God has not fled. Unsaved people feel conviction come and go. They feel Emptiness, Guilt, Fear, God tugging at their heart but they cannot spiritually discern it. If you feel far from God, guess who moved? Not Him.
CLEANSE YOUR HANDS, PURIFY YOUR HEARTS. James speaks to: Hands — what you do, Hearts — who you are, Double‑mindedness — divided loyalty. This is the call to repentance! You can’t hold onto sin with one hand and hold onto God with the other.
HUMBLE YOURSELVES. James ends with a promise: “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.” (James 4:10) God lifts: The broken, The repentant, The humble, The surrendered. He lifts them out of: Shame, Addiction, Anger, Fear, Bo***ge
Three Steps That Change a Life: Submit — Give God the right to lead you.Resist — Say no to the devil with God’s strength.Draw near — Take one step toward God, and He takes ten toward you. This is not religion. This is relationship. This is rescue. This is restoration.
I’ll close: Lord, teach us to submit, strengthen us to resist, and draw us close to You. Lift up every man who humbles himself today. In Jesus’ name, Amen. God bless all, Brother Ben Matthews

Memorial Day:
Ladies and gentlemen, we often use this weekend for well-deserved time with family and friends, but while we enjoy the weather (rain or shine) and backyard gatherings, I ask that you remember the true meaning of this day—to pay tribute to the patriots who gave everything so we could live in liberty.
For all still with us today (John 3:16) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life." (Salvation) I pray to see you again in Heaven. You must be born again!
God bless all, BBen Matthews

Devotion May 20, 2026

Good morning, Brother Ben message:
This will be our final message on John of Patmos. THE RIVER THAT NEVER RUNS DRY.
(Revelation 22:1 KJV) “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.”
JOHN SAW A RIVER THAT WAS PURE. “A pure river of water of life…” What it means: No pollution, No sin, No guilt, No shame, No past attached to it. John is on a prison island…yet God shows him purity. Today, your surroundings may be dirty, but God can show you something pure. Your past may be muddy, but God offers water that washes everything clean. This river represents the life God gives — untouched by the world, untouched by our past.
JOHN SAW A RIVER THAT WAS CLEAR: “…clear as crystal…” What it means: Nothing hidden, Nothing confusing, No darkness, No secrets, No more fog, no more questions. Heaven is a place where everything becomes clear — God’s plan, God’s justice, God’s timing. Today, down here, life gets cloudy. But up there, everything becomes clear. What you didn’t understand on earth, you’ll understand in eternity. This gives hope to men and women who feel confused, lost, or forgotten.
JOHN SAW A RIVER THAT HAD A SOURCE: “…proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. What it means: Life flows from God, not from people, Hope flows from the throne, not from circumstances, Strength flows from the Lamb, not from your own effort. The river doesn’t start in heaven’s ground — it starts in God Himself. If your life is dry, get back to the source. If your soul is thirsty, come to the throne. If you need a new beginning, it flows from the Lamb of God, Jesus. This is the final message of Revelation: Life comes from Jesus — and it never stops flowing.
CLOSING WORD: John was on Patmos — isolated, forgotten, locked away —
but God let him see a river. And if God can show a river on a prison island, He can show you hope in your prison cell or season. The river is still flowing. The throne is still occupied. And the Lamb is still giving life. (please read the following verses)
(Revelation 22:18-21 KJV) “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”
Thank You, for giving me the opportunities to continue to share God’s word. Again thank you! God bless all, Brother Ben Matthews

Devotion May 13, 2026

Brother Ben message: With the help of the Holy Spirit I will do my best to explain what John did in Patmous and why.
1. He was “in the Spirit on the Lord’s day.” He worshiped. He stayed spiritually sensitive. He didn’t ask to leave — he leaned in.
2. He listened to the voice of Jesus. “I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, 11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.” (Revelation 1:10-11)
3. He received Revelation, not relief. God didn’t remove him from Patmos —God met him on Patmos. Why this matters for me and I pray for you. Not sometimes, but every-time we’re trying to help others, our sight must be clear first. Again, John never prayed to escape Patmos. God gave him a revelation on the island. Some men and women feel stuck, forgotten, or exiled. So, Patmos wasn’t punishment — it was the place of vision. Again, you and I must know where we stand with the Lord. John was in the spirit, are we. Sometimes God won’t change your location, because He’s trying to change your vision.
KJV Revelation 2 and forward, what did John do? Short answer: Jesus is the One speaking. John is eyes, ears and the writer; Jesus is the Author.
1. Every letter begins with a command like: “Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he…” The “he” is clearly Jesus Christ — described as: “he that holdeth the seven stars” (Ephesus) “the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive” (Smyrna) “he which hath the sharp sword with two edges” (Pergamos) “the Son of God, who hath his eyes like a flame of fire” (Thyatira) These are titles of Christ, not John. So, the voice, the message, the rebukes, the praises, and the promises all come directly from Jesus.
2. John’s role was to write exactly what Jesus said. Revelation begins with this instruction: “Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;” (Rev 1:19) John obeys. Get this: He does not add his own commentary. He does not preach to the churches. He simply records the words of Christ. (amen)
3. The pattern is consistent in all seven letters. Each letter follows the same structure: Jesus commands John to write, Jesus identifies Himself, Jesus speaks to the church. This keeps the authority where Scripture places it — on Christ — while acknowledging John’s faithful obedience as the recorder.
I will close today, next Wednesday May 20, 2026 will end this study. Our ending will be based on (Revelation 22:1) “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.” Until next week: God Bless all, Brother Ben Matthews

Devotion May 6, 2026

Good morning, Brother Ben’s lesson continues.
Revelation 1:9 tells us why John was there — but not who put him there. “I John… was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.” Notice what’s missing: It does not say God sent him. It does not say Rome sent him. It simply states the reason he was there. So how did he get there?
1. The historical-traditional view: Rome exiled him. Early church writers (not the KJV Bible) say Emperor Domitian banished John to Patmos because of his preaching. This is the most common teaching in church history — but again, it’s not stated in the KJV text.
2. God allowed, even if Rome physically exiled him, many believers say God used it — the same way He used: Joseph’s prison, Daniel’s lions’ den, Paul’s jail cell. John’s isolation became the place where God gave the Revelation. God guides us into our future the same way He guided His people throughout Scripture — not usually by visions of the future, but by forming us, leading us, warning us, and preparing us.
A. God guides us through His Word. This is the primary way. Jesus said the Holy Spirit would “bring all things to your remembrance” (John 14:26). Psalm 119:105 says His Word is a lamp — not a spotlight. A lamp shows the next step, not the whole road. Scripture guides our future by shaping our decisions. Scripture corrects our direction. Scripture reveals God’s will and character. Scripture protects us from deception
B. God guides us through the Holy Spirit’s inner witness. Romans 8:14 — “As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” This is not spooky or mystical. It’s the Spirit giving: conviction, peace or lack of peace, nudges, warnings, clarity, restraint. The Spirit doesn’t shout — He steers.
C. God guides us through open and closed doors. Revelation 3:7 — Jesus opens doors no man can shut. God guides by: opening opportunities, closing opportunities, redirecting us, blocking harmful paths. Closed doors are guidance just as much as open ones. God guides us through prayer: Philippians 4:6–7 — prayer brings peace, and peace becomes direction.
I must close with the following: Sometimes the place we didn’t choose becomes the place God uses. Patmos wasn’t John’s choice — but it was God’s platform. Philippians 4:6–7 — prayer brings peace, and peace becomes direction. Prayer doesn’t just change things — prayer changes us so we can hear God clearly. This is the most overlooked truth: God reveals the next step to those who obey the last step. Psalm 37:23 — “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. And he delighteth in his way. John saw the future because he was faithful in the present.” You don’t need to see the whole future. You just need to walk with God today. If you obey God today, He will guide your tomorrow.
God bless all, Brother Ben Matthew. May 13, 2026, I will try will try to explain what John did in Patmos and why, please stay with me.
