Central is overjoyed to announce that Becky Lepore has accepted the call to serve in full-time ministry at Central Moravian Church as our new Pastor of Congregational Life. Becky brings gifts of loving compassion, a thoughtful passion for justice, and energy for bringing together both our congregation and guests in community. We are thrilled that Becky will join Pastor Janel Rice in leading and caring for our congregation in this new chapter of ministry.
Becky will be ordained at Central Moravian Church on Sunday, June 14, at 2:00 p.m., with a light reception to follow. We invite everyone to join us for this joyous occasion as we celebrate God’s call upon her life and ministry.
Becky will conclude her responsibilities as Minister of Music on June 30 and officially begin her new pastoral role on July 1. She will be installed as Pastor of Congregational Life during worship at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 5.

How can we possibly talk about the Divine? Has the Christian church confused us more with the concept of the Trinity, three forms of God in One? Or can we expand our worship and experience MORE of God if the idea of the Trinity is the starting point?

What is Christian Nationalism, and in particular, how has the Moravian Church responded to the development of Christian Nationalism? What does our theology speak to this topic? Becky Lepore will give an updated presentation on Sunday, afternoon, May 31 at 1 p.m. in the Christian Education building.

At the 2023 Synod of the Moravian Church Northern Province, the Committee on Church and Society resolved that the MCNP rejects Christian Nationalism, which supports racism and white supremacy, and fall of 2024, the Moravian Church Northern Province joined our ecumenical partners in endorsing the Statement of Christians against Christian Nationalism.
