What started as a chance meeting through a men’s Bible study group, a new friendship was born as two men, Richard Clinton and Butch Moerkhe, found they both had a heart for men’s ministry. A breakfast meeting a Chick-fil-a, a short time later brought this desire forward to build a ministry that was designed to seek and rescue the hearts of men and awakening the masculine heart created by God in ea
ch man. After much prayer and discussion in future meetings, it became apparent that God was going out ahead of us and preparing the way for us to venture into something completely new. In April 2017, the first Anvil Men’s Boot Camp took place. 18 men, mostly from The Cross Loganville, in Loganville, GA ventured to upstate South Carolina for 3 days unplugged from the matrix, to spend time in deep fellowship with God and building a real brotherhood, which some men had never had before. The first Anvil was a time of real breakthrough for many men. God let us know from the first night that he was in control. The weekend is modeled from John Eldredge’s book, Wild at Heart, and modeled closely after the Wild at Heart Boot Camps in Colorado held by Ransomed Heart Ministries. God has put it on our hearts to take this message to more and more. The Anvil weekend is open to any and all men who are after the more. The more of what God has in store for them who choose to take the narrow road and follow Jesus Christ, no matter the cost. This weekend will take place at least 2 times per year as long as God continues to lead us hear. As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17
