On this past Saturday, 8/24/24, Bethlehem Housing Authority sponsored a Parkridge Community Day in the Parkridge Community. It was an eventful and wonderful afternoon, with a MEET & GREET staff (including, the Exec Dir, and other managers),and volunteers representing BHA. There were some vendors like, Stand Up Mobile, All American Home Care & Hospice. There was also support from Central Assembly of God, who donated school supplies and sponsored a PRAYER TENT, for those needing prayer. In God's Care Ministry also came out in numbers to volunteer, we also donated many bookbags and supplies to the Back to School event. Over 150 bookbags stuffed with school supplies were given out. There was music, dancing in the streets, food, popcorn 🍿, Italian ice, cotton candy, raffled prizes, ( 2 bike giveaways), face painting and a BIG shout out to the Bethlehem Barber School for doing FREE haircuts, and much more. It's so beautiful to see a whole Community come out and get involved and interact with their Housing Authority! There is definitely BLESSINGS IN UNITY. You can't even spell CommUNITY without UNITY!!!! ANOTHER BIG SHOUT OUT to Mrs. Gwendolyn Flores, (Resident Initiative Coordinator), who is over Tenant councils and responsible for forming tenant councils for BHA in all their Housing developments...You did a PHENOMENAL job pulling this event all together and forming an amazing team, using your sources, resources, and help from Our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST!! To God be ALL the glory!!!!!!
