Today, on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, we joyfully conclude our diocesan journey through *33 Days to Eucharistic Glory*.

For the past 33 days, faithful throughout the Diocese of Allentown and our parish, have united in prayer, reflection, and renewed devotion to Our Lord who is truly present in the Most Holy Eucharist. As we celebrate, we give thanks for all who participated in this spiritual pilgrimage and opened their hearts more deeply to Jesus Christ.

May the graces received during these 33 days continue to bear fruit in our lives, our families, our parish, and our community. Let us carry forward a renewed love for the Eucharist, the source and summit of our Catholic faith, and continue to encounter Christ in the Blessed Sacrament every day.

“Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.” (John 6:56)

Continue to Pray for Vocations 🙏⛪️

The Ordination comes amid a Jubilee Year of Grace in which Bishop Alfred Schlert has asked the faithful for fervent prayer for new vocations. In that context, the men who are about to become the newest priests for the Diocese were asked what advice they would give to someone thinking he might one da...

On this Memorial Day, we pause with gratitude and prayer to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice reminds us of Christ’s own words: “No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13)

As we honor those who died defending the freedoms we cherish, let us also pray for their families, for all veterans and active military members, and for the gift of lasting peace throughout the world.

May God grant eternal rest to the fallen, comfort to those who mourn, and renewed commitment in each of us to serve others with courage, humility, and love.

Today, we remember. We pray. We give thanks.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

As we approach Pentecost next weekend, this is one of the final times we’ll sing the Community Mass arrangement of the Sanctus — “Holy, Holy, Holy” — during this liturgical season.
This setting has carried our parish prayer since Easter, beautifully week after week, lifting our voices together in praise with the angels and saints. Grateful for the gift of sacred music that unites us as one worshipping community.
“Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts. Heaven and earth are full of your glory.” ✨🎶

What a wonderful afternoon of faith, food, fellowship, and fun at our 2nd Annual Parish Fellowship Potluck with OLHC! 🎉🍽️

A special THANK YOU to all of our volunteers and Carol Machain, Kathy Bossert, Anet Villani, and Cate Applegate for running things so smoothly.

It was such a blessing to gather together as one parish family during this special Jubilee Year for the Diocese of Allentown’s 65th Anniversary. Thank you to everyone who attended, brought delicious dishes to share, helped organize the event, and made the day so joyful and welcoming.

Moments like these remind us how beautiful our church community truly is. We are already looking forward to next year! ❤️🙏

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mother’s!!
The Eastertime hymn “Regina Caeli,” “O Queen of Heaven,” invokes the Blessed Mother to rejoice in the resurrection of her Son. The honoring of the Mother of God during Easter is the foundation of our devotion to Mary during May, and is perfect for “Mother’s Day”. It invites believers to share in Mary's joy, turning her sorrow into rejoicing, which mirrors the celebration of all mothers' profound, often sacrificial, love to their children.

Join us this Wednesday evening, May 13th, as we celebrate the Vigil Mass for the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord at 6:00 PM.

As Christ ascends into heaven, He opens the way for us to share in His divine life and renews our hope in the promise of eternal glory. Come and enter into this holy celebration with our parish family through prayer, Scripture, and the Holy Eucharist.

“All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” — Matthew 28:18

We look forward to praying with you at Saints Simon & Jude Church.
