A Heart for the People

📖 Proverbs 21:13 (KJV)
“Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.”

God calls us to be attentive to the needs of others. A heart for the people listens, cares, and responds with compassion. May we never become indifferent to the struggles around us, but instead be willing vessels of God’s love and mercy.

This week we were reminded of the importance of knowing God for ourselves and maintaining a lifestyle of prayer and worship.

📖 Key Scriptures:

• Luke 18:1
• Colossians 4:2
• Judges 2:10
• 1 Samuel 2:12
• Psalm 34:1

📝 Key Takeaways:

🔹 A generation arose that did not know the Lord because they were not exposed to Him and His works. (Judges 2:10)

🔹 It is possible to be around church and religious activity and still not truly know God. The sons of Eli were raised by a priest, yet they did not know the Lord. (1 Samuel 2:12)

🔹 Prayer keeps us connected to God and positions us for breakthrough.

“Breakthrough is ready to catch up with prayer!”

🔹 Jesus taught that men ought always to pray and not faint. When challenges arise, we must remain steadfast in prayer. (Luke 18:1)

🔹 Worship is not based on our circumstances—it is a response to who God is.

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalm 34:1)

🔹 The enemy cannot silence a heart that is committed to worship.

“Satan, you can’t stop my mouth from worshipping my Lord!”

🔹 Prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ. Every promise of God points us back to Him.

🙏 Prayer Focus:
Lord, help us remain faithful in prayer, steadfast in worship, and committed to knowing You personally. May we never become a generation that forgets Your works, but one that continually seeks Your presence and gives You praise. Amen.
