This week we begin a new series through the book of Colossians: The Supremacy of Christ. Written from prison to a young church facing confusion, competing voices, and questions about what it really means to follow Christ, Colossians points believers back to one unshakable truth: Jesus Christ is enough. Like the church at Colossae, we live in a world full of competing messages that promise purpose, fulfillment, identity, and spiritual growth. Yet Paul reminds us that lasting hope, real transformation, and a life worth living are not found in rules, experiences, success, or self-improvement, they are found in Christ. Today’s message, “A Life Worth Living” based on Colossians 1:1–12, invites us to discover what happens when Christ becomes more than part of our life and instead becomes the very center of it. Because Christ is supreme, a life centered in Him becomes a life truly worth living.

Join us tomorrow at 9:30 & 11:00 AM as we worship and fellowship together!

Challenge for the week: Read the entire book of Colossians (all four chapters) and ask: What is God revealing to me about who Jesus truly is?

Summer is coming and we need volunteers in our children’s ministry! Join us for an All-Star Summer as we look at some of the Bible’s SVPs (Second-most Valuable Players). Their faith and actions will help kids see the value of “putting it all on the field” for Jesus – the real MVP. You can also still volunteer at our VBS June 8-11, 6-8 PM. Volunteer Night is June 7, at 5:00 PM. Sign up to serve through linktr.ee/bfumc, or contact Amber Wigley.

For many kids in our community, the end of the school year means the end of knowing where their next meal is coming from. To help ensure kids in our community stay fed over the summer, our House of Bread Food Pantry gets extra food deliveries through GNAP--and we need your help unloading these deliveries! Volunteers need to be able to lift 32lbs. Work gloves are helpful as there will be produce to unload as well as frozen and refrigerated foods.

You can sign up to serve on linktr.ee/bfumc.
We need volunteers at approximately 10:00 AM on:
Friday 6/5
Friday 7/10
Friday 7/31

Volunteers are also welcome to sign up for House of Bread on the first Saturday of the month (except July--we will have HOB on July 11 due to the July 4th Holiday).

Questions? Contact Lisa Heffner at [email protected].
