Join us on September 17, at 11:15 AM, and enjoy a time of worship led by Haley Mitchell and the BASA Chorus and visit with the residents at The Landing Senior Living Center, located at 901 Haymon Morris Rd. We spend much of our lives worrying about and preparing for the future, yet none of us knows exactly what tomorrow will bring. In this fourth message of God’s Promises, we will discover that while we may not know what the future holds, we can know the One who holds it. Scripture assures us that God knows our future, has good purposes for us, calls us to trust and obey Him, and promises to be with us every step of the way. Through six powerful promises from God’s Word, we’ll discover that God promises to guide us when we’re confused, help us when we’re tempted, support us in times of trouble, ultimately bring justice when we’ve been wronged, reward our faithful service and generosity, and faithfully carry us toward the eternal future He has promised. On this Labor Day weekend, we’ll also be reminded that while much of our earthly work is temporary, our labor for the Lord is never in vain. The future may be uncertain, but because God is faithful, we can face tomorrow with hope, confidence, and peace.

Join us tomorrow for a special combined service in the Worship Center at 10:30 AM. This is a great opportunity to wear your new red, white, and blue church merch! If you haven't gotten yours yet, we will have it available for purchase before and after service in the Stars Cafe. After Sunday, you will have to reach out to Trish Johnson to purchase.

As a greeter, you will need to come to church a little early, smile, say hello, possibly hand out information, or assist folks in finding where they need to go on a rotational basis. Designed for 6th-12th graders and adult chaperones, The Rooted Retreat is the North Georgia Conference's fall youth group gathering featuring powerful worship experiences and inspiring speakers. There is dedicated youth group time where youth leaders and volunteers can develop and strengthen relationships with their groups. The Rooted Retreat is focused on group formation, community involvement, and outreach (while the spring SLR youth retreats look inward, the fall retreat encourages youth to live out their faith in the world). No mission team can reach its full potential without the prayers and support of friends and family. This September, we have the opportunity to partner with our Cuban mission team as they bring badly needed medicines, clothes, and more to the people of Cuba. If you would like to partner with a Cuba mission team member in prayer, please sign up at linktr.ee/bfumc and write two notes of encouragement for the team member to read while on the trip. Take a step away from your daily routines and rest in God’s presence with other women from Bethlehem First UMC. The 2027 Women’s Retreat, Growing in Grace, will be at Pinnacle Retreat Center in Clayton, GA from January 15-17. Join us for hotel-style accommodations for 3 ladies per room with a private bath for just $225 for the weekend. Secure your spot by September 28 with a $100 deposit.
