Interfaith Works is sponsoring two upcoming events--have fun and donate to worthy causes at the same time!

August 22. 12:00-3:00 Potomac Lifestyle Backpack drive and back to school bash (advertised as afternoon of family fun with an ice cream social, touch a truck, face painting etc). Sept 27 Harmony of Hearts benefit concert. The concert is free, but they are hoping for donations that will benefit food shortages in the area and their winter gift giving to needy families.The concert will include performances from a variety of groups and individuals from the local community and beyond. As we celebrate Juneteenth as a holiday of liberation, we remember that our collective work is not finished. Especially now as voters' rights are in jeopardy. Civil rights and racial justice are Jewish values, and we believe no one is free until we are all free. Happy Juneteenth, and may we bring about liberation for all speedily and in our days!
