Edible Bethel is a community driven project founded in the spirit of collaboration. With active participants coming from many different sectors of the greater Bethel Community, a transformation from a wishful dream into a structured and driven project has been accomplished. Edible Bethel aims to turn as much vacant space on Main Street Bethel into a flourishing edible landscape that will serve as

an opportunity for the food insecure, an educational resource for students, teachers and home gardeners, and a way to bring life and economic vitality back to an area of Bethel, Maine that tends to get over looked. Together our community will be creating beautiful, informational, edible green spaces for all who live, work and play in Bethel. Our Mission:
To show by example how to grow edibles in small spaces, available to all.

Good morning! After checking the garden this morning there are things ready to eat and pick!Below you will find some photos of where to locate the veggies. I did not pick anything. The first half of photos are from the garden on high Street and the second half of photos are from the raised beds down on Summer Street.

Hello Friends of Edible Bethel! I wanted to put a date out to the community that Northstar students are planning a fall garden cleanup and information event. We plan on this event being October 7th. This is just a placeholder with more information to come. The timeframe is yet to be set.

Secondly, There are hot peppers and green tomatoes on the stand and plums to be shared that are ripe in the tree by if anyone is interested.
